Hello all, this is my first post...although I have been reading lots and lots! I have a an Asscher diamond ready depending on deciding on the pictures.

I am a bit confused still to what they mean, so Ill give you the specs, price, and pictures, and would lov any honest feedback.

GIA Report

Asscher Cut - 1.55c
66.5% Depth - 60%Table
E/VS 2
6.40 X 6.27 X 4.17
EX - Polish
EX - Symmetry
md-thk girdle
No culet
No Florescence

Then I got the Sarin Report which said this...

ID....looks OK??

IS_GIA1102407569.jpg

ON A RANDOM SETTING...

ASET PICT...which is confusing bc everything else looks good...and the specs seem to be on point...and of course the sales person said it looked fabulous in person!

??? I think it lks ok....just a shady ASET? hELP.

They don''t seem to have very good luck with ASET images of asschers the pics look better than the aset.
Do you like the teeny tiny windmills?
That is the thing that caught my eye.

LAST PICT I have! Thanks for any and all help.

Also, a confusing area here for me is that the sarin report states the table % very different than the GIA report. And again, everything from the dealer who has seen the diamond says it looks great and they are looking into the reason for the "awkward" ASET picture.

Thanks again!!!

Well storm, I think by all your threads I like the widder windmills better...but as long as they dont cut off halfway I not against the smaller ones.

The sales person said she had never seen such a contrasting ID, reg, and ASET picts! Im just curious what you think about them together and if it would be considered kicken....and also, why would the GIA and Sarin reports be off that much?

Any worries about the Crown height at 16.2%?

What could be affecting the aset so dramatically?

Thank you so much storm...Ive read so many of your forum notes I feeel like we r buddies! haha

oh, and forgot....$10k price?

16+% CH is fine.
placement in the scope can affect aset images dramatically.
$10k is in the right range.
As far as being kicken with the windmills its a tough one to say yes.
Is it a beautiful stone yea more than likely but the tiny windmills do detract from what a well cut asscher should be at least somewhat.

Thanks so much Strm!! I agree...and the more I see windmill picts, the more I like the middle/medium sized ones!!!

Also, there just seems to be something not right about the aset picts...as they adjusted the angle as you said several times bc they were confused as well, only to come up with the same outcome.

Ill post whatever else is brought in for me to see if its "kicken" by ur standards!

p.s. working with WF and they are very helpful and on top of everything, follow up is terrific.

The other thing you should remember is these pictures are HUGE!! Looking at photos of my asscher, the windmills look pretty big, which was what I was after..... on the finger however, they don''t jump out as so obvious, so I can only imagine that thin windmills on the photo would be nearly invisible once set.
