Ok, so here''s the deal...my original plan was the have the BMs in turquoise and the GM in white linen suits with turquoise shirts. Our wedding colors are turquoise, hot pink, and yellow (it''s on the beach in Mexico so I want to be bright and tropical and fun). I am having a slightly hard time with this turquoise color in the BM dresses alot of the styles I like don''t come in this turq, but come in pink and actually I just love pink and want them to wear pink. I do not want the boys to wear pink and I don''t think FI would allow this.

So my question is, did anyone have the guys and girls in the wedding party wear different colors? Pics of this? Do you think this would be awful? I think it would be awful but FI acts like he expects the guys and girls to wear different colors. I guess I just want to see if anyone has any pics of this.

One other question, I want FI to wear a white linen suit with white underneath so he looks different than the GM and we are both in all white, what do you think of this? Other ideas for him to looks different than the GM?

I am in the early stages of this but probably need to get moving on the BM dresses so all opinions and ideas are welcome.

How about having the grooms wear pink pocket squares instead of a pink shirt...how do you and your fi feel about that, a little less girly? Different colors could look fine, but you''d have to coordinate it somehow, maybe with the boquets or the guy''s pins could tie everything together.

I kind of like that idea! Do you think all the guys should wear all white and the Gm have pink pokcet sqaures? The only thing about that is that I don''t want everyone in all white to take away from me, do you think it will?

Well since you want to coordinate pink and turquoise, why don''t you have the BM''s wear pink dresses with a turquoise sash around the waist? I don''t know the specific stile of the BM dresses, but if it is appropriate to put a sash around the waist, then that would be another alternative?

When my son and dil got married, the bm''s wore a burnt orangish color. Don''t remember what color the gm''s vest were, but she had them wear orange boutonniere.

Check out the destination wedding bio on theknot.com. Tons of great ideas there...I know I found a lot of ideas on there when we were considering a dw....

I think that it would be fine. I plan on using Light pink, Cotton Candy Pink and Irory in my wedding next year and it''s not going to be a DW. My MOH''s are wearing the light pink and the other BM''s are wearing the Cotton Candy Pink, along with the GM wearing Ivory suits with the pink to match whichever girl that they are walking with. Another unique thing that we are doing is husband will be wearing a light pink suit and I will be in Ivory.

Surprisingly, we were also thinking of have pink, turquoise and Ivory, but we ended up with just the pinks with Ivory. And everyone loves the colors.

I haven''t be to or seen a wedding were the BM''s and GM''s were in different colors, not sure if that will work out well. Keep in mind of your pictures too.

So, I don''t see a problem with the colors and if the men are secure in manhood then it shouldn''t be a problem.

Smile it will work out.

I''m not a huge fan of everything being super matchy-matchy, so I don''t think that there''s anything wrong with the girls wearing pink and the guys wearing white and turquoise! You said you''re going for a fun look, and I think that would be really bright and colorful and cute! And like someone else said, maybe the guys could use pink boutenierres (?) -- though that may be a bit much with turquoise shirts. Or the girls could somehow tie in turquoise with their bouquets (though I guess that would have to be the ribbon as I can''t think of any turquoise flowers).

I don''t like the idea of the guys in all white. That''s for the you, the bride, my dear!
