Help with a Custom Engagement Ring

I am currently in the process of looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend of 8 years and I was wondering if any of the experts here could give me some desperately needed advice.

I am debating between using a half carat round diamond (that my grandma has offered to give me) and setting it in a custom unique/vintage setting or getting a ring with a marquise shape diamond, because both fit her tastes. She likes filigree, thinner bands, and things that look kind of braided (see last example).

I was wondering if any of these settings would be in the preferred price range ($1600) as she has expressed a lot of interest in them:

If not, is there another custom ring place I can look at with similar styles? I’m also on a bit of a time crunch because we are going to Europe in 7 ½ weeks and I’d like to propose to her on the trip.

The ring with a marquise diamond that she liked was this one,

This is still diamond related and I have asked the mods to move it to RT where you'll get more responses.

Oops! Sorry about the mixup. Thank you!

I should mention, I'm looking for a 14k white or rose gold setting. I didn't realize until just now that I posted all platinum settings.

Ok, I've been searching the web some more and I found some rings that fit the budget and style:

This one with either rubies or sapphires. The setting might be too chunky or thick. Thoughts?

These both has the right kind of sidetones and price, but they're made for a bigger diamond:

Would they be willing to make it for a smaller diamond?

Also, Fay Cullen takes 6-8 weeks and I need it in 7. Any suggestions?
(I corrected the URL on the second one)
