Help with earring design please

I have a pair of 3.2 tcw diamonds and am trying to figure out the right setting for earrings. I would like for them to lay as flat as possible and be as low profile as possible. Would either or both of the below designs achieve that? Which one would be better?

Option 2 will definitely make them lay flatter on the ear. Option 1 is styled more like a martini setting. A larger diamond can be top heavy in an earring setting and I would much prefer a flat base. If you want them to appear low as well, you would not want settings with high prongs.

If your priority is low profile, I’d go with the first design, but with a larger earring backing to help combat the potential droop.
If your priority is sitting more flat against your ear, I’d go with the basket design, but still with a larger earring back.

There’s no wrong answer here LOL both are beautiful!
Do you have a place you can go where you could try on a martini-prong style earring, and a basket set earring so you can feel / see the difference? That might be your best bet.
