Re: Help with problematic engagement ring nearing exchange d
Another vote for Diamond Zone. You can get ideas by looking at their ebay offerings. Lucky you being able to actually go to the store! I'm sure you'll find something you love that's within your budget. They have lots of nice things for $2K or less.
Re: Help with problematic engagement ring nearing exchange d
Thank you for all your support!!! And all the suggestions. I have to say they were so nice in the store. It was like night and day.
I wanted to ask two more things: I have some rings that I want resized, does anyone know of a good bench jeweler in Chicago for that? It's for the vintage gold and synthetic sapphire cluster ring I mentioned earlier.
Also, we'll be taking an extended trip to Boston and New York this winter, and I'll be able to see my family rings. I would like to ask for a rec for a bench jeweler in Boston (I'd like to get the prongs checked) too.
I'd also like to get anyone's suggestions for antique shops near the Boston area, in New York, and smaller auction houses. My fiance thinks it's romantic to shop together on our trip so I realize we'll likely be getting something on the East Coast.
I'll post some pics in a new thread when I get my family rings. It's very exciting to finally be able to post here about jewelry!! Though it's a bit like Pandora's box, now I want to buy everything.....
