The best thing to do is just ask the seller. I can't tell from the pictures how the ring is made. Maybe ask the seller to send a pic of any stamps on the shaft?

The top is white metal (platinum?) and the shank is 14k yg. I really do think the idea of getting a similar style, old ring is the best option.
