I think this is a great idea too. The bezel will add a bit of girth to the stone & elevating it will showcase it w/o having prongs which could detract visually. I like the slightly more delicate look of the 2nd ring you posted better too. (Though the CADs were certainly gorgous too...) You can do anything you want with the gallery of the ring as you don''t have to worry about putting a wedding band next to this baby!Date: 8/16/2005 3:05:38 PM

you could also elevate the bezel slightly above the pave which would give the lifted look without the prongs.
kaleigh- I totally agree with widget! I wasn''t sure what I would do with my ring until I actually tried on the ritani endless love, which is bezel set, and another ritani which was prong set. I preferred the prong set by FAR.Date: 8/16/2005 2:44:43 PM

Oh, I really disagree!!!!Author: strmrdr
leave it bezel set is my pick.
Extra protection and it blends better in my opinion :}
I think prong set a teensy teensy bit elevated would help ''show off'' that magnificent asscher! I wouldn''t want it to ''blend in''!!!!
I also think the stone would get plenty of protection with the halo around it...
JMO, of course!

I like the idea of raising the bezel a ''tish'' ... that might be enough of a change to slip it through the old system smoothaliciously. If only that bezel wouldn''t have to be so thin ... you could ... wait for it .... sink baguettes into it.!!! I''ve gone LOCO! Kaleigh, most certainly you''re going to end up with one of the most admired rings on the scope. Happy! Happy!
