Mark Morrel has a shop on Walnut Street??? I didn''t know that MB. Can you pm me with the info??? Well I made a suprise visit to the jewelers today and the bench jewler said he may have something for me later today. I talked to Michelle who is my salesperson and she told me not to worry. She was on vacation through most of this and heard about it when she came back. She had a long talk with the manager and they are going to do the ring. Once the final cad is in, I will know if I need to alter it a bit more, but Michelle doesn''t think I will have to. So good news, but it''s gonna be real slow.

Kaleigh,
I sent you a PM. In case it didn''t work-- I got the names of 2 jewelers confused. The jeweler I was thinking of isn''t Mark Morrell, it''s Paul Morelli, and his shop is at 1118 Walnut St. My apoligies.

Thanks MB!!! I wish Mark would open an office in Philly!!!

holy crap, I was almost really excited about that! hehe

Glad to hear you got semi-good news though, Lisa. It sounds like they are going to come through for you!!

I am so sorry that you are having to be put through the paces over this project! I realize that people are busy but they have to be realistic too. Guess no one wants to turn away a paying job but when you are paying for something, you expect a reasonable timeline!

I am sure that you don''t want to make them mad for fear they will do a rush job, but shouldn''t they be able to give you an idea of when you can expect this completed? When they handed out patience, I was definitely in the wrong line!

Kaleigh,

After having been dragged along by a jeweler on my rings for a YEAR, I can feel your pain. Of course, I''m the fool who allowed him to do that and did not pull the plug on him early on as I should have. After I finally fired the guy and found someone else, my rings were done in a matter of weeks! Finding a jeweler who is honest with their time-line makes all the difference in the world.

MGR and diamondlil,
You guys make a very good point. I was very firm with Michelle yesterday and she knows exactly where I am coming from. The real test is when I see the next cad. I will decide then and there if I will proceed with them. I do feel like I''m be played for a fool in a way, but I made my point so clealry that I don''t think they are going to mess with me anymore. Part of me just wants to go to Quest. We''ll see. I just want it done right. The last thing I want is to have a ring made that isn''t what I want. It''s not an easy process and it''s not brain surgery or anything it should be much easier than this.

Oh kaleigh, I hope things start to move in the right direction. I think all of us can feel your pain. We are all waiting anxiously just as you are! Optimistic...that''s what you have to be. Then everything will be A-OK! (fingers crossed and a blessing said!!

Thanks didiamond,
I will see whats what on Tuesday and go from there. If I don''t get a concrete answer I''m going elsewhere. I have given them plenty of time about a month I would guess and that is more than fair on my part.

Hey kaleigh,

I''m sorry this process has taken so long. I hope you''ll get a response from your jeweler tomorrow. If not, I second mrssalvo''s idea to go to Quest. I was there last weekend to pick up my yellow sapphire ring (more on that later) & met everyone. They''re just so wonderful! Call, don''t email, though as their internet is down until the end of the week.

Let us know what you decide!

Thanks BrightSpot,
I will see what they say tomorrow, and if I feel they are dragging their feet, I''m taking my stone to Quest. Nan says she will babysit the project for me, so that is cool. I think they may be cheaper too???

Kaleigh, I''m really sorry you are having such a hard time

I am hoping that everything is going to be right !

Thanks Flower that is so sweet of you. I''m doing some major firing tomorrow, trust me!!!!

ok, logged in for an update on nan first and then over here....any news???

OK it''s definitley the afternoon (at least officially it''s "after" noon). I''m just checking in to see if there has been an update.

kaleigh is probably there now

Haha you guys are soooo funny. Nope, I have a hair appointment tomorrow and the jeweler is right next to the salon. So I will go in before the hair appointment, ask for the cads which they won''t have then I will ask for my stone and say adious!!! Probably spelled that wrong, oh well.

Than I am sending the stone to Quest.

you should go get your stone like, yesterday and say adieu!
hehehehe.....that would be funny if they had a wax ready for you

Gosh, what a frustrating process! At least if your present jeweler doesn''t come through, you know of several who will! Let us know how it goes tomorrow...

A wax???? That would floor me. Nah they are still waiting on the cad dude who is in VA. Then I''m thinking what if the cad guy is from Quest, cause Quest is in VA. OMG that would be too funny, or too awful for me huh??????

I think Pete is the only Quest guy who does the Cad''s. Maybe Rose, who works for them also. part of me hopes they don''t have it ready so you can go with Quest

I just LOVE them and their customer service is second to none.

I''m so sorry things did not work out with your jeweler, Lisa. What a waste of time and energy. But, I''m glad to hear you will give Quest a try. You know I have all the confidence in the world with them. I don''t think Pete does CAD work for anyone outside of Quest. You know their workmanship is great, and the time-line they give you will be realistic.

I can''t wait to hear how the "firing" goes tomorrow. I''m terrible with confrontation.

Thanks, I''m just going to say that I found someone else to do my ring and I think Joe will be relieved as he is soooo backed up. I will be very nice and then run with my stone and send it to Quest. They did an awesome job for you diamondlil, and so many others here.

Thanks for the compliment, Lisa. I look forward to another project with Quest someday myself. I''ve just planted a seed in my husband''s head about a pendant for a 20th anniversary gift next June. Little by little, I''ll work on him.

Yes I am looking forward to your pendant, it''s with a halo right???
