HI:

Out and about to swish restaurant--several course meal; they''ll have to roll us out....but home in time to welcome in the NY....I like to get home early enuf to avoid many of the looped drivers on the road.....

cheers--Sharon

Rich and I celebrate every year by hanging out with our best friends at one of our houses. We order food and play cards or games for the evening. Thankfully, we only live about 2.5 miles apart, so no travel to speak of.

Last year we stayed home and I made a nice dinner, I think we may do the same again this year; it was a pleasant way to ring in the NY.
I confirmed it with DH, we''re going to keep it low key again this year. After the business of the holiday''s (traveling, family, shopping, etc.) I can''t say I''m sad about it. He said he''d cook as I did last year, should be a very nice night.

Gwyn, the Chinse restaurant and snuggles sounds like a great plan. ENJOY!!

Last New Year''s Eve, I was at my parents'' home with them and my best friend, toasting at midnight as I tried to make sense of a broken engagement. It stunk, to say the least.

This year, my BF and I will be ringing in 2008 at a house party at a house party held by family of his best friend''s fiancee. We always have a great time with this couple, so it should be really fun! I am not looking forward to going back to school on the 2nd, though. Too soon! Too soon!

Change of plans. My boyfriend has gone to the vet with his mom to put his dog down, who's suffering from senile dementia and has been doing really badly all week. It's so sad; Harry is such a sweet dog--would've been 12 next month. And I put my cat down last year at almost this exact same time (Dec. 29th) so it kind of feels like it's happening again... Not been a good holiday these past two years for J and I. It's so hard to lose family members, but especially at holiday times, I think.

I hope everyone else's holiday tonight goes on without any surprises.

Sorry to hear that Gwendolyn.

Ok Ellen, I've bought it.. since the party is going to be in Point Loma, where it stays a little on the chillier side in the evenings, I bought an INC purple turtleneck sweater and winter white slacks. I also bought a pair of ivory with brown snake like heels from Nine West.. I have a pair of earrings a girlfriend of mine gave me for Christmas and wanted something to go with them. :)

This is the sweater style..
in purple..
And these slacks.. but in ivory...

I don't want to freeze.. that wouldn't be fun at all!
You're going to look smashing dahlink.

Have fun!!

I just ran out to grab something warm, comfy and casual, since it's just going to be the 6 of us, and we're family. I don't have to impress anyone.

I got this in teal green. And I already had flats with embroidery to match (which I'll kick off as soon as I get there). So I'm set. Oh, and btw, I'll look just like the model once I get this on. *fluffs hair*
