How Big is Infinity???

Actually, the question I asked was, "What is the largest diamond that Crafted by Infinity has ever cut?" I was at a "Meet the Cutter" event at our local Crafted by Infinity dealer earlier this week. John Pollard and Paul Slegers were there, being their usual charming selves, the wine was flowing, the treats were tasty, and John was going over the history of Crafted by Infinity diamonds. I love these events. I've been invited ever since I purchased my 0.70 ct F VS1 Crafted by Infinity diamond, which is currently set into a pendant.

It turns out that the biggest ever Crafted by Infinity diamond was in stock at that very store, Continental Diamonds in Minneapolis. Of course, I asked to see it. :cheeky:

But first, John plopped this stunning 5.86 ct J VS1 Crafted by Infinity onto my hand. Gorgeous rock!!!

Of course, you want to see the arrows!

Here John is taking of picture of the stone on my hand. Yes, Fly Girl is beginning a new career as a Crafted by Infinity hand model! :naughty:

The following diamonds are up next. And, yes, the 6.03 ct N VVS1 is the largest Crafted by Infinity diamond cut to date.

You can probably figure out which is which. That's John, trying to get them all lined up.

I was trying to decide if I should upgrade my 0.70 ct pendant stone. What do you think? :naughty:

Same stones against a white background and not quite perfectly lined up. By the way, from left to right, they are: the 2.04 ct K princess, the 3.3 ct O, the 5.86 ct J, the 6.03 N (Biggest Infinity!), and my 0.70 ct F. I found I liked the yellower colors, like the O and N. But, I love colored diamonds in the first place.

A slightly out of focus shot where I was trying to capture some of the sparkle these stones give off.

This event was a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoyed the pictures of some of the bling. :wavey:

This may be my favorite SMTB post ever!!!

OH MY, what a treat to see those diamonds. I would love to see the larger stones in person.

I LOVE the lower colors. Have a CBI N myself

By the way, is the 3.30 O stone eye clean?

Sorry, I didn't look all that close for the inclusions. But, we did note that at around $18k, it was a pretty good value for a 3+ ct rock. :cheeky:

I just have to say, I love the warmth of that N.. not just the size, but I love the color.. uh.. I could probably pull off the size if I HAD to.. :naughty:

Yes you could! My M had a lovely warmth to it. Like you would expect an antique diamond to look.

Thank you, all, and glad you are enjoying the pictures.

As far as the warmth goes, John pointed out to me that I was wearing exactly the wrong color clothes for judging diamond color, since I was head-to-toe in yellow-brown shades. So, some of the warmth you see is coming from the environment. Note that John is not making my mistake, and is wearing black. :wink2: So, some of the tint is coming from my clothes. You can kind of judge how much from my F stone, which definitely looked whiter to me in person than the lower colored stones we were viewing, but is photographing a wee bit tan here.

It was nice to see you again, Paul, and you are most welcome for the pictures. Thank you for cutting such beautiful diamonds, and your kindness and continued interest towards your customers. :wavey:

Oh GOSH! Such wonderful pictures and such great information. I was having a crappy afternoon at work and this just perked me right up!

I WANT, WANT, WANT the 5.86 J...a girl can scheme er dream right??? :Up_to_something:

Thanks so much! Lucky you getting to play with all the gorgeous bling!

That sounds like such a FUN day!!!! I wish I were there!!! =)

Thank you btrflygrl and hearts-arrows_girl. It was fun. I love these opportunities to learn more about diamonds. I don't see a lot of diamonds daily in real life, other than the few that I own myself, so it is great to see these in person. I learn something new every time.

Hope you have a wonderful day, and that your dreams will come true! :wavey:
