Haha. I hear that ''Oh, I don''t know, it was a gift from my fiance'' can also work well. Especially to those rude people who want to know how much your fiance paid.
Whenever someone asks me if my goodies are real, I give them a great big smile and say ''Everything I have is real.''

Haha, I might borrow that line. People have asked if my e-ring is real before too. I guess because I look so young...

Tacori: I''m sure that people have thought mine was fake...I think its more about the setting too. I mean how many non-PS people have a different type of setting? The majority of people I see simply have a solitare Tiffany type setting or at most, an eternity type setting. So when you have a more elaborate type of setting, people tend to think the ring is fake..at least thats how it was explained to me by a few of my friends getting ready to be engaged.

I can''t believe some of you have had experiences where people have grabbed your hand to look at the ring!!!! Were these strangers???? I''d be pissed!!!!!!!!!!!

My FI friend''s FI (got that

) did that but I had met her enough that it was okay...but a stranger better not freakin touch me.

I''ll have to do a karate chop on them!!!

Thankfully I never had anyone ask me if it''s real, I did have a young asian man ask me in a mall "what is that?," I said "a diamond," he said "why so big?" it was a short conversation.

I don''t have any problems taking compliments. I usually just say "Thanks" or "Thank you" and smile

. If they continue on complimenting the ring after I thank them I just say "he did a great job picking it out" or "I couldn''t believe how nice of a job he did picking it out" or "I was very surprised when I saw it." I don''t think there is anything arogant with showing that you love your e-ring too, just as long as you don''t respond by saying "I know" and look away when someone says "your ring is gorgeous!"

I have had strangers grab my hand...and I''m always a bit taken aback when that happens...

I try to be nice...but yeah, it is a little forward!

I usually say ''Thank you very much'' and cringe because I know the thumbprint on the table is coming!

I think the majority of people who see my ring think it is fake. The thought of that makes me more uncomfortable than getting a nice compliment on it. Of course, those who know ME, know my ring is real, but we live in a relatively rural area, and to see a ring like mine is a bit rare.
