How long after looking at rings did he propose?

3 months (I later learned he looked at rings about 6 months on his own before he asked me to look with him). He proposed the day after picking up the ring.

I''ve recently found out that my BF has been looking at rings for the past couple of months and was just wondering how long after ring shopping you ladies waited for a proposal?

In my mind it would be about another year before he''d be able to afford a ring, but I was just trying to get a feel as to if it''s typical for a guy to ''pre-plan'' so far in advance of a proposal

What was your experience?

I think it also has a lot to do with how old you are, how financially secure each of you is, and other variables along those lines.
