How much do you love your IDJ jackets ?

hi all I am this close to hitting the send button on my email to Luann confirmimng my order for IDs 3 point jackets for my 1.5 tcw oec studs

In all the pics I've seen on SMTB they look beautiful but because I am in Australia and haven't been able to see any And i need a little push over the edge...


So tell me how much wear do you get outta yours and do you love them as much / more / less than you hoped?

miznina, I can't help you on the how much I wear them because I haven't bought them yet... But I live in Australia too and I am about to buy them as well - as soon as we get back from our holiday! Well, the 5pt versions as I want to get more real estate

I just want to try on some Kailis earrings before I pull the button...

Re the kailis earrings, I have their Luna ring, and I LOVE IT !

Literally....daily. I wear them with my diamond studs or my cabachon collection. I almost never wear any of my other earrings anymore. They are PERFECT!! Do it!!!

Lizzyann-I have not noticed any damage to either jacket or earring - and I do check when I take them off to clean.
Dani - the thread above should be helpful... or you can click on my avatar and I had a thread at some point...?? Cellantini started the craze!!

I love mine. I honestly don't wear them a ton (I usually just wear my studs) but it's nice to have the option for extra bling when I feel like it. The stones are incredibly sparkly and I think the 3-pointer size is perfect.

I don't have mine yet but they are the reason I kept my 0.8 ctw studs instead of trading them in when I upgraded my studs. I can't wait to get them! The price had gone up though I think I paid $725 for the 3 pointers

It looks to me like their are fewer diamonds on I D Jewelry's but the diamonds are bigger, and for the ones that are for the .50 studs they are only $50 more. I like bigger.

I have a pair of studs 1.30ctw, 0.65cw each, 5.56-5.58mm, I was suggested to get 6mm jacket with toatl 24 3-pointers.
I prefer not to have airline between stud and jacket. still debating on the size. After saw the nice colored stones with jacket, I feel I need another pair of 5-pointer jacket which seems to go nicely with the colored stones. ( I have none colored stone studs yet.)

They do stick out a bit but personally I prefer that over airline and when they are in my ear, it doesn't matter how i turn my head, i can't see it.

The WF jackets... aren't they 1.5 pointers? My friend has a pair and they are a completely different look to the IDJ one's. They are more of a round halo and don't have a scalloped edge to them.

I have bought a 4.7mm pair of sapphires (really fantastically close match to my e-ring!) for studs and am wanting IDJ jackets to go with them. Yenny's 5-pointers look pretty good... though I'm not sure if they would be too much for my tiny ears. Probably best to stick to 3-pointers!

I too was very close to ordering the jackets last year..am still very fond of this idea, but afraid that I wont get a lot of use out of them, as my current app. 1 ctw studs are pretty blingy for me. I also have wg allergy and stick to platinum for white metals. As I was doing the research on these jackets, I had an idea that they might be stock settings from Adwar, and I know thar Adwar can make any of its castings in palladium as well. Just ask IDJ if they can special order them in palladium, I bet they will be lighter in weight and muuuch cheaper.

I will be looking at this thread, as I really love these jackets and also would like to know how much people are actually using them...

I have them in palladium. I first asked for palladium WG, but that was not possible to get. I was afraid platinum would be too heavy, but the palladium ones are very light weight. Just ask Luann.

The pink tourm. cabs are mine (I think that's the photo you're referring to?). I don't have ruby....my red cabs are pyrope garnet (much less $$ than ruby!)....my jackets are the 5 pointers and my studs/cabs are all around 5.5mm. I have pretty small earlobes and I don't feel that the 5 pointers are too much. Here's a (terrible) earshot for perspective.
