How much have you spent on gemstone last year?

Last year I was pretty good. I think I only bought 2 from Jeff. However do settings count? That is usually where the $$$ hits you with CS. In 2008-2011 I puchased many CS's and now I'm selling most of them for a lot less then what I bought them for so BEWARE OTL, do not end up like me. Try to think before you purchase what you will do with it. I bought SOOOO many CSs thinking I would set them. Out of the 20+ pieces of jewelry I had with CS's I probably now only have 3 or 4 left that I wear. Everything else is gone or hopefully will go to a much happier owner or will love them.

Does jewelry with gemstones count? This year I made some unexpected $, so I splurged a bit, whereas in other years I spent nothing. My husband and I are pretty conservative when it comes to finances. OTL, I think that you need to get a handle on your need to acquire. IMHO, anything can become an addiction. I know that we can joke about it, but for some people it is really no joke.

I think its close to 10 000 ( I dont dare to check). But then I ´sell some and invest in more for the profit, so most of my collection is selfpayed. I also gamble on horses, and the profit for that also goes to more gems ofc
