Good Lord, I''m a thousand years old.
(Engaged 9 days shy of 35. I''ll be married 6 weeks shy of 36.)
I can beat yours... my comment wasn't an age thing, just a stab at marriage in general..Date: 10/21/2009 10:58:20 AM

Engaged at 22, will marry at 23. FI was 25 and will marry at 26.
It wasn't until I started law school that I felt really young & realized my age was a bit below the national average. The rudest comment I've heard was, 'I couldn't even DREAM of being married yet, and I'm 27!' My response was that I'm 22 (I was at the time) and couldn't imagine NOT being married to FI. I just think I'm lucky to already be with my best friend and love of my life.... I don't feel I've missed out on being 'young and reckless.' I much prefer my life with FI than my life pre-FI. Definitely.

So who is the other 28yr old
I like the age I got engaged old enough to know this is what I want (for me that is no disrespect to the people that got engaged younger) but sucks for FI cause my expectations and standards increased in the last 11 years of waiting - as I tell him sucks to be him, should popped the question when I was younger and he could have saved money
