Hi ladies,

I have a 2.3ct heart diamond (D color) and I’d like to set into a ring. What would you do to make it stand out? This is a very sentimenal stone, so I would love to create a special piece.

I like the pavè, but I also like the idea of creating something with side baguettes or side pears. I would love something classic and timeless, yet modern at the same time.

White gold for sure. Also I love double claws. I think they are pretty cool. What would you do?

thank you so much

I'd do a halo of pink diamonds (mined or lab, or sapphires, according to budget), then an outer halo of white diamonds. All white gold, except rose gold around the pink diamonds. Prongs as unnoticeable as possible. :)

I like these. I think I like the one with tapered baguettes best though.

Wow! I love both baguettes and pear shapes! What do you think is the perfect ratio/size?

Thank you

That would be so cool and romantic at the same time! Bonus point: I love pink! Thank you

I can't estimate the size of the side stones but I really like the way the baguette setting looks. If you decided to do something like that, I'd show the photo to the jeweler making the ring and say those were the proportions you want. Then, before the ring is made, make sure to take a look at the layout of the stones to see if the ratio works for you. Same goes for the pears.

This is my all time favourite heart-shaped diamond ring setting, I believe it was originally from White Flash, and the halo is likely to be pink Sapphires.

This is stunning!

fir the actual 'head' of the mounting I would want to follow the heart shape, but not necessarily a complete bezel, i.e. at the point at the bottom of the diamond a 'v' shape and at the top (around the rounded portion) a half moon sort of 'bezel'. Then if you wanted more 'presence', surround all of that with more diamonds, round, etc.
