Wowwwww I love it!!! So ethereal and lovely. It's perfect on you. And definitely set it exactly the way you want to. If you want fancy white/opalescent diamond side stones then GO FOR IT! I think the combo would be stunning. There are no rules about how to build your dream ring beyond buying what you love. Congrats!!


Keep us updated on your search for side stones and ring creation. I know someone already mentioned leibish for fancy colored diamonds, but I 2nd that idea and bet they can help you find something perfect. If nothing on their website works for you I'd email them. In my experience they are incredibly nice and helpful.

I really can't get over how pretty it is in person!! If I had the ability to show everyone here what how it shines in person, I would in a heartbeat!


Well, I finally made a new thread all about my ering/wband search, so there will be lots of more info going on about that there! But I will also share here what I end up doing with this particular stone, for sure! I do think I am going to have to contact Leibish directly, as I think most of the stones they have up right now are bigger than what I am looking for! Fingers crossed that also means they won't be so pricey... they'd be worth it, but oof. My wallet!

Awww well thank you, and welcome to the party! I actually have an update that I’m sure you (and others!) will love seeing!!


My temp stone setting came in the mail today, WAAAYY earlier than I ever expected! I mean originally, it wasn’t supposed to arrive for another two weeks! So of course, I just HAD to see how this little sapphire actually looked on my hand. And ohhh lordy, it did NOT disappoint!!

I jumped in front of the last of the afternoon sun to take these photos... and wooow my heart just swoons every time I look at this beautiful sapphire!






I had been thinking about ways to set this stone (if not for my ering) and I remembered I had this little faceted opal ring and decided to bring it out to play for the heck of it!





And lastly, a pic in the same sunny room, just out of the direct sunlight.

I love the opalescent quality. The sheen. It's so interesting. Turn it this way and you get one dominant, turn another and now it's dichroic.
