First you get a pic with the light right.
You upload it to the computer and you find out that the diamond is all dirty.

So you clean it.
Then it''s clean but you can''t get the focus right.
Then . . .

I''m trying.

I think I need some chocolate.

If you give a mouse a cookie...

Come on already?! I''ll take dirty pics, I just wanna see it!

Okay here is a first try.
I have to get the light to be closer to the camera to reduce the dark in the middle.

Definitely a deep pink. Nice stone, Moh.

Really nice colour. One you really notice.

wow... I missed out on this one. What an incredible, rare stone! I''m brainstorming some setting ideas..

That sure is pink! Congrats on getting a true rarity. Here is a cushion cut white diamond in a Ti tension with a rose gold inlay... the stone is 4.5 mm on edge and 0.39 cts.

Here are a few others that I thought might work nicely with your stone...

I changed the stone color to be a bit more like yours to help you visualize. Hope this helps!

Thanks guys.
I'm really falling in love with this stone.
I had it outside and in the car and in stores today and it really looks great in different lighting.

Josh, thanks for the photoshop job, but what did you mean about "gaining 1mm for up and down positioning"?

Stepcutnut, I like titanium. It is light and strong and light. I have another ring of titanium and frankly that stone is much more valuable than this one, so I dont' really associate costly stone with costly metal. I am weird.
I realize most folks associate gold and platinum with being more fancy and desirable, but to me it is all about the stone and which metal is best at holding it, is comfortable and feels right for the project.
That said, I am still considering all three metals. 18K rose gold is a strong contender, at least near the diamond.
I placed the stone in a rose gold Gelin Abaci setting today and it looked really cool.

Lorelei, thanks for the info about natural and indented natural.
Fllygirl, if the expert who is checking it out gives it her blessing then yes I will keep the stone.
I'll know Monday or Tuesday.

Sleepy Spinel, wow, great settings.
I like the 3rd down.
It looks like a Christian Bauer design, which is one of my favs.

The bottom design is very pleasing to me.
I'd have to source two smaller white emerald cut diamonds though.
If the main stone is 3x4mm the side stones should be what . . . 2x3mm?

I think that the jeweler who ends up making the ring will be your best bet. They can show you several sets next to your pink stone and you can decide not on measured sizes but on overall look that you think would be best for you! And once you know the size that seems right you can whip out an ideal scope if you want to ensure they have a decent amount of light return, though after looking at so many stones with different refractive indices, I rarely use my IS anymore since I have a pretty good mind''s eye visual of what it will look like after just eyeing the stone.

I like the idea of the bezel set East to West.

I did a little moch up for you of a particular setting I like.

It is bezel set with Milgrain Work in 18 karat Gold.

Simple and elegant and showcases your stone.

Very Beautiful Diamond by the way...Im Jealous!
THAT is a great setting idea!

Sorry-didn't mean to offend with my metal suggestion!!! But, all my hubby's titanium rings(which he also loves because they are strong and light) he wears when he is going to be banging up his hands, so I guess we both associate them with being 'his' more disposable rings! So just a personal rule I guess.

Set your EC however it makes your heart sing!!!

That being said, it is a lovely stone-wear it in good health!!!

Oh, no offense taken Stepcut.

It's funny you mentioned your hubby wears his titanium when he's going to be rough on a ring, because I actually bought this stone to wear when I'm working.
I'm going into a line of work where a ring must not look too flashy to clients.

This stone is small and because of the color (and it not being worn by a woman as an engagement ring and surrounded by a diamond halo) I doubt anyone would think it is a diamond.

It is my stealth Precious.

Do you have a thread on your more flashy ring? Inquiring minds want to know

Sorry SS.

Feirypyropixy posted this pic in the purple asscher thread.

I realize this is a woman's ring but it is the color combination that grabs me and won't let me go.
Now I'm considering buying two tiny green stones for my ring.

Do any of you know what these green stones are?
They don't look like diamonds or emeralds to me.
I realize there are several green gems.
Which is the hardest so it will resist wear?

leon mege 3-stone.jpg

They are probably either emeralds or tsavorites.

What a great shade of pink, I can''t wait to see what you do with it!

Do you guys know of an online source for high clarity and high color emeralds or tsavorites?
I''d need a matching pair.
The diamond is only 4 x 3 mm so the greens must be smaller than that.

I like buying online from vendors that post their prices.
That''s just me.

I''d go with tsav for a ring, I think. Maybe try diamond expert- he has some lovely pairs of little demantoids, so I bet he could source some tsavorites for you. I looooove green and pink together, by the way. Your ring is going to be incredible.
