I feel like we are thisclose... ack!

Now that the holidays are behind us and it''s sort of the official start of the season that think BF might propose in (Now through June-ish), I am definitely a little more aware of our finances, the discussions about weddings that we''ve been having and just overall excited that it may be happening sooner rather than later.

BF is extremely keen on getting his W2 so that he can file his taxes and get a return, I have a strong feeling that the return will play a large part in a ring. He''s also on the verge of starting a new job which will add to the job security we''ve been wanting in order to move forward with engagement, etc.

Soooooooo.... like I said in my subject line, I feel like we''re THISCLOSE, AUGH!!!!!!!! lol

Anyone else in a similar situation? I am trying so so hard to be cool and not get too excited/anxious. It''s hard!

IrishEyes...i know exactly how you feel. I also feel like we are very very very close. My BF also is eager to file his taxes and get a return, which *i think* will be the last of his saving for the ring. He told me a while back that he felt like he would have enough money after putting half of his return into the "ring fund" So with that said...we have talked about a Summer 2010 wedding, and I want to be engaged for about a year. So i as well fell it coming on very soon. I thinking March/April/May proposal. Crossing Fingers!

It''s exciting but also a little overwhelming, huh? For a while now I''ve been perusing websites thinking about planning a wedding and it''s fun at this stage. Once it''s the real deal it''s not going to be quite so whimsical, lol. But I do still think I''ll enjoy the process for the most part. I honestly just can''t wait to marry him, he''s the most amazing person I''ve ever known.

I'm right there with ya! I KNOW BF is waiting for his W2 specificially b/c it's going to be used to buy my ring! And we'll be engaged by the end of April! So yeah, we're THHIIIIISSSSS CLLLOOSSSSEEE too! haha.

How exciting, IrishEyes!! I''m feeling like I''m in a similar situation. He''s told me we''ll get engaged before the summer and he''s been bringing up marriage/engagement more frequently recently. I''m quite eager to begin the actual marriage planning, but I agree with you it''ll be different than the "whimsical" searching enjoyed right now. SO keeps giving me mixed signals- it''s coming soon, but it might not be until later. He was awaiting a check from work to be able to afford a ring, but he bought a snowblower shortly after. I have NO clue if he has the ring or how far along planning a proposal he is. So I keep reminding myself it might not be until June 20th (summer).

He told me it would happen this year. I have no idea which part of the year, though. I hope I''ll be joining those of you who are getting springtime proposals.

I do know that he opened a separate savings account for ring dollars, though!

IrishEyes, I am right there with you...except, my boyfriend isn''t waiting on his W2...from what I know, he literally has the exact amount right now, thanks to yesterday''s paycheck...so I feel like it could be any day. I have also been following one specific diamond on James Allen (that I sent him the link to multiple times over the last six months) and four days ago, someone bought it (it now shows as Unavailable.) That is killing me, of course!

So, I pretty much feel even closer than thisclose, if that''s possible, and am trying to not get too excited in case I''m crazy and it''s not as close as I think it is.
