I'm still learning how to use it (properly) but these are some closeup pics for science purposes :) Diamonds are boring (sorry diamonds), emeralds are the most interesting under it, IMO.
I'll break down some examples with pictures

1st one is a certified burma ruby

2nd one is a Chaumet pink sapphire. I've contacted them several times to ask about their stone treatment and was ignored (typical French attitude, I guess). It's full of droplets, I wonder what are those.

3rd one is a UK reproduction of a Victorian, with a big inclusion in the middle of the ruby. Closeup of the inclusion

4th one is I'm assuming early synthetics, as it is in an old target ring.

Last one (I promise) looks like glass filled? I got the ring for the side stones, I don't feel bad about taking it apart now.
