I have 3000 for gemstone ering...what to get?

Inexpensive and NICE settings with halos for asschers are harder to come buy as they usually have to be custom ordered for the diamond itself (instead of switching out a head). But I agree that Jeff does AMAZING RA style colored stones, my only concern is that I think this cut looks best on lighter colored stones and the OP has expressed an interest in VIBRANT colors (that spinel).

I LOVE that spinel. It would be mine if I could swing it. But I can''t. So I think it''s lovely that it could be someone''s enagement stone. Its so pretty.

and put it into a simple micro pave setting-either with a split shank or a halo, but not both.

I came within an inch of buying that red spinel for my e-ring, but it is just a little out of the budget right now... I am probably going to buy the purple spinel Jeff has on his site now (unless he has decided that I am a nutcase and he needs to cut me off -- haha!

Anyway, if my budget were a little bigger, I would so buy that red spinel... It is amazing... And Jeff is great to work with!

On the bright side for me, my favorite color is purple!

Stacy, that purple spinel is to die for, it will look so great as an e-ring! You know, I couldn't get the ring I really wanted when I got enagaged either, due to budget constraints, so we upgraded my ring when we had moolah and added some diamond side stones... so that could be an option for you too if you wanted something more flashy down the road! You are starting with a beautifully cut stone, though, and that is awesome!

Thanks for the encouragement, DD. I''m still waiting to hear from Jeff about the purple spinel. If it''s available, I''m snapping it up! The cool thing is that I live near Jeff, so I can pick it up in person.

And I''ve seen your ring with the sapphire and diamonds -- it is GORGEOUS! That''s probably what I''ll do -- instead of upgrading my center stone, I will just add to it. Fingers crossed that I can get this purple stone...

I love the set with the red spinal but my heart is for the green sapphire from Knox but then it might be hard to find a wedding ring to match. I cannot wait to see what you pick!
