I did a brief internship there this summer studying the yuck factor, and they also do research on other things related to gametes and stem cell. I will be working in the lab, so it is a great opportunity to learn.Date: 3/31/2006 6:46:18 PM

I''m sure you''ll do fine Matatora! Glad to see we''re nervous for the EXACT same reasons (besides the working with kids part. I don''t know how you do it)! Every job I had before was only 20 hours or so. At one point I was holding multiple jobs to get by, but now.... 8 to 4 every day, 5 days a week....
I had a tour of the building (which is BEAUTIFUL by the way) and the only downside I saw so far: My desk/workspace will be right next to the evidence vault and I''ll have to smell stale marijuana all day long... Yuck...
So what exactly will you be researching?? As a fellow scientist, I''m SOOOOOOOOO curious!

Wow - where is this magical place that doesn''t abide by the 50 hr work week?
MelissaSue- No grad school for me. ;-( There was only one program I was interested in and I did not get in.
Rainbow Trout- I know how you feel, it is so exciting…and a bit SCARY!
Tacori Ering- Thanks!
