I just found out about Etsy.com!!

I had never heard about the site until I read a recent post about a customized ring mentioning it and I love it!! I can''t stop looking now...ha ha. I think what gets me the most is how darn creative these people are!! Some of the things they do, I would NEVER have thought of!! And truthfully, I didn''t even know half of the things they have to work with existed! Some of the pieces don''t even look handmade to me! I just wanted to share with everyone. LOL

And, I wanted to show these cute earrings!! I mean, really..how adorable and HOW creative!!! (I posted here because I wasn''t sure where to post pearls. If it''s not allowed; I''m so sorry!! I''ll understand, but please, tell me, where am I allowed to post pearls?? Thanks!!)

I had the same experience. I learned about Etsy in a thread on the Colored Stones forum several weeks ago, one on customized stackable rings. I ended up buying some sterling silver earrings plated in gold from a vendor in Turkey! Pricescope certainly allows people to find places to spend their money on jewelry and share those places with other people who are prone to do the same thing, hence the constant charge of, "enabling" one hears around here!!!

I Looooove etsy!!! I was searching there the other night & emailed my hubby a STRONG hint of what to get me for Christmas!!! It''s a cute, delicate pendant with my daughter''s initial on it. Hopefully, he got if for me! I''ve spend HOURS on that site, sooo addictive!!!

I bought some wonderful dichroic red glass Christmas tree earrings on eBay a few years ago, so when I saw this thread developing I decided to go take a look at eBay. I did not see any earrings like the ones I got, but I did see some interesting handmade jewelry on eBay, too, so I decided to post some photos. eBay, as well as Etsy, has a lot of places to look at jewelry! I am posting photos just from one vendor's website tonight. I have never bought anything from her and cannot vouch for her goods; her jewelry just took my fancy, so I collected a few of her pictures. She works primarily in natural stones and sterling silver. These earrings are mother of pearl.

I''ve bought very few things on etsy, mostly paper goods. But I love browsing on there! I''ve had one bad experience with a seller who promised to deliver something on a deadline, but never did. She just disappeared after agreeing to the project, giving me the price, and telling me she was starting on it.
