Hey, if there's a diagnosis out there for video gamers, I'm sure there should be a diagnosis for bling obsessors.. Haha, now I'm suspicious if there are any PS-ers that are so obsessive with jewelry that they spend every free second browsing PS or other jewelry websites or stalking eBay or whateveritmaybe.. enough to "forget" a meal or something. I think that's what started that whole needed diagnosis for those gamers. They stopped eating meals and stopped showering. LOL.

You would not believe how much crap people gave me for that, which I guess I get but we tried to look at it from a practical standpoint. What is the point of him spending money on something (that is hopefully going to be on your hand forever) that you may not like? KWIM?

OH I am behind on that thought 100%!!! I think that's half the reason so many PS-ers upgrade! Their hubbies chose the first one! LOL.

You told people about you choosing out the ring? I'm leaving out ALL that educational research stuff. No one needs to know how neurotic, near psychotic I am

Yes, I made the mistake of telling people that I picked out the ring and everyone had an opinion about it. You are totally making the right decision to keep quiet.....

I am glad the link worked. Um, yes it is a nice size . I actually live in NYC so I do not think that it will stand out too much. I just took it back to Leon yesterday because I thought one of the prongs were a little crooked (I do not know if I was nit-picking) and he fixed it for me on the spot. I know he has somewhat of a bad reputation but I found him to be nothing but pleasant (not to minimize other peoples' bad experiences wit him).

I sort of hate the idea that a lot of girls have a hand in the process, but then pretend they didn't. It's like we're all living a lie! Social pressure is a tough thing to shake though... maybe I'll say I picked the sapphire and he picked the setting? We chose the setting together and if he didn't like something (even if it was a gut reaction on his part) I threw that idea out the window.

The whole reason I went to Leon was for his prongs and I wanted them to be perfect! He was so nice and even told me that I can come back if I am still not happy after I get my ring!

I totally understand about the whole living a lie thing and that would have been too stressful for me! You can def say that you guys picked the setting out together! It was very sweet of you to take into account your bf's considerations. I tried to do the same as well. I initially had my heart set on a AVC (but for reasons I would rather not get into) my bf was pretty much against them so I ended up with a generic cushion instead.

I would love to see photos of your ring!

Thanks for the kinds words and not making me feel bad about getting the prongs fixed. Leon was actually really nice about it and fixed it on the spot and it looks much better. I will def post it when I get engaged.
