This has been the thought in my head every day since last Friday/Saturday and probably will be until...... well, forever! I''m lucky and happy to be alive, and I''m very grateful to have a hand full of loving and caring sincere friends who have been with me through the worst that life has thrown at me.

gemgirl - I just read your other post - my god, how frightening! I''m so, SO glad you''re okay!!

I just read the other post as well--it sounds like it must have been an awful experience! I''m so glad that you''ve had lots of support and a wonderful DH to help you through it!

I got an iPad

Today, I am dropping my car off at the repair shop, to fix the damage done when a guy hit my car in the parking lot of my apartment complex.

The insurance is providing me with a rental car and I am rrrrreally hoping it''s not a freaking hooptie

Yesterday I had a ''thank goodness for PS moment'' after dealing with some unnecessary snarkiness on another board. Even though the mods are more strict here than in other places, I''m grateful for it

I''m pretty sure my sister''s "Pomeranian" mix is actually a wolf dog.... possibly crossed with Akita.

Anyone have any info?

The pictures match up. I''ll post a comparison later tonight.

grrr....I really hate it when that happens there. I''ve got a few safe havens I hang out in (birth month board is pretty much it). I avoid the trimester boards. I can only imagine what happened....

I just realized I made my last school lunch this morning. Feels a little weird...

Whenever DH is out of town I make popcorn on the stove and eat it for dinner. Every single night.
Good thing he doesn''t go away for too long at a time.
Mmmmm. Popcorn.

Last lunch ever, or just for this school year?

My ring is at fed-ex for pick up. I really just want to leave work now. Except I told FI he could open it, so I don''t want to sit at home with the box in my hand unable to do anything about it.

WOOHOO!!!! Congratulations to your son!

It must feel very strange to have packed your last lunch. (And KUDOS to you for still packing his lunch, by the way! What an awesome mom!)

Thanks Laine and Haven!

When I mentioned to my son this afternoon I''d never make another lunch, he said "wow, that''s right"...then he looked at me and said "And you want to know the worst part? I didn''t eat it!"

thank goodness for my crying baby, she allowed me to escape a conversation with my neighbor regarding why there are two poles on our corner, which i never noticed until he pointed them out. my husband was not so lucky, he got trapped twice today. the second time he brought over the detail sheet for the street behind ours being turned into a culdasac (sp).

note to self: don''t go outside when he is.

My new wedding band is done and should be here next week. I''m excited to see it!

JD went shopping w/me to find an outfit to wear to our party tomorrow. I almost burst into tears in the dressing room b/c I felt so ugly, but did manage to find 3 shirts and a pair of capri''s.

I just graduated college, and I know exactly what you mean by feeling weird when doing some of the "lasts".

I''m leaving home to go to an internship in another city tomorrow morning. I just got the offer last week, and while I''m excited and thankful for it, I''m sad to be spending the summer away from home since I''m spending the entire next year away too! Is this what growing up is like?

Not a thought, a small story. Long time ago, in Russia, I just graduated from college and befriended this girl at my work...She was a year older than me, a beautiful blonde with dark eyes, and everyone was in love with her. She was such a nice, kind person. And there was a young man doing his research at a place where we worked, and he fell in love with her. They started dating, he proposed...got cold feet... Several times they were extremely close to tying the knot (in a private civil ceremony) and each time somethng would happen. It lasted for four years.

Then he left for the US. And today I found out that he is working here, in my city, and that professionally our paths have crossed many times.

He wanted to call me (it is a professional issue) but I doubt he ever will. But this is beyond the point.

Here we are, both living and working in the US, both married, having kids... Sometimes happy, sometimes not, but neither of us is alone

My friend, the girl he dated, professionally is very successful. But for some reason she never got married. She wanted to have a child for herself, but it did not work, either. She lives with her old mother (she is a very good daughter). Her cat died last year. She is very lonely.

The reason I am posting it here is because none of my friends is a PS-er.

That story is so very sad Crasru. I hope someday soon your friend will meet someone wonderful. Meanwhile I hope she can find fulfilment from friends and her career.

ETA Not that finding someone is the key to happiness of course, I just wish it for her because she wanted a family.

it gives him something to talk about!

he''s a recluse, doesn''t work and appears to leave the house only to get his mail and talk to neighbors. he''s quite awkward, socially. i had the baby facing forward in her carrier and he kept stepping closer to us, i ended up on my lawn instead of the sidewalk by the end of the conversation.

it sounds as though he feels his job is to monitor the neighborhood, go to school board mtgs and such.

the pole thing is funny as their are so many where we live they are just part of the landscape. i couldn''t have told you there was one on the corner let alone two. but i also walked by the empire state building and didn''t notice it.

I''m watching Back to the Future for about the gazillionth time. It''s one of those movies that if I come across it on TV, I can''t NOT watch it. Same goes for Ferris Bueller''s Day Off.

Good grief. There is always one nutter. Sorry you live right by him.

I hate when people don''t respect personal space. It is plain rude.

he came over twice yesterday. he wanted his paper about the culesac back and to tell us about a concert in the park.

we have a large bay window in the living room, our front door is in an enclosed courtyard/patio. he stood on the lawn waving his arm in the window. i feed the baby in the living room most of the time. this could get awkward!

I think we all have a couple of those. For us it''s Forrest Gump. "And that''s all I have to say about that"!

pretty soon you will be doing handsprings and somersaults at the thought of never having to come up with a new idea to stick in a brown bag! They will be back and you will have
a part in their lives that doesn''t require you to get up early!

Hang in there Junebug!

2 and a 1/2 days till my ring is here! I hope it is ''right'' and I really do like it. I am just not sure.
