Hey just wanted to quick say that i changed my name a couple of days ago and just wanted to add in that while I do think we should wait to be more financially secure; age will have nothing to do with it. We are excited to start as soon as possible My workplace is completely on board with us having to take maternity leave and actually am asked at least once or twice a month if we are going to start trying soon lol. I''ve got 2 or 3 days off scheduled already for the upcoming month as well (wedding) so they are really great And one other point I wanted to address- we receive no help whatsoever from my parents. Cut off. Zip. Nada. Thanks for all the encouragement guys.

Glad to hear it. I''m not sure what the name change will accomplish... They will now just start looking for new posters. I again think you need to sit down and analyze relationships some.

I didn''t mean to imply that your family helps you financially... but more that they do a lot of things for you in general. My family doesn''t help me financially... but they are a very giving family.. so I''m never surprised if I magically have a new baking pan waiting for me at my door.... or a bag of leftovers being shoved at me when I go to visit. Some gifts have of course been bigger ( a new but very on sale dining table

) but I don''t let them invade my personal space at the same time, nor do they ever hold anything over my head. I just don''t want that to ever happen to you either, since I know your dad was at one point reading your posts.

Anyways, I hope you can settle things, and good luck to your SO in finding a new job!

Today is dh''s and my 12th wedding anniversary. He left for a two and a half month long-distance job just yesterday! Yep. My dh is gone for 2.5 months and it''s just me and the kids.

I just did something very naughty!!!

I have consigned my solitaire with a view to buying a GOG diamond with the money from the sale.

Anyway, I had some savings which I was going to add to my new stone. Instead I bought an interim GOG AVC!!! Woooohooooo

I am sooooo excited. In a couple of weeks time I will be wearing a 1.43 L/Vs2 AVC!

I wanted my interim diamond to be totally different from anything I have ever owned with a view to what I fancy for my new permanent upgradeable GOG diamond!

Will keep you all posted.

Happy anniversary MC! Sorry your DH is going to be gone for so long.

I just got a stay of execution from the dentist. Got there, got the paper bib thingy clipped on and waited and waited and then they said she was really behind and did I want to reschedule. I was having 2 (or 3?) fillings replaced. I have another appt next week to do the final 2 and was able to reschedule for the following day. Will I love this next week? Absolutely not. This week, heck yeah!

Oh, and my work computer got a virus and is behaving badly. It's at the IT doctor, which means I am working off my blackberry. So basically I'm not working. I'm gonna take a nap on the couch.

Naughty but oh-so-Pricescopey! A pretty good number of us have bought "while you were waiting" sparklies.
I know I''ve fallen victim to that virus before! I''m sort of hemming and hawing right now about two stones. I''d been planning on making myself a new round halo solitaire pendant......... and then I saw this neat little cushion...... and I CAN''T decide! FML. It''s been just under a year since DH and I got married and I just NOW got my wedding picture CD. Not because the photog held them for some reason, but because he required that I pick them up in person vs him sending them (odd, I know) and between his schedule and mine and my bad memory, I haven''t made the trip until today. So I got the CD-YAY! and got home all excited to go through them only to discover that my home computer-a netbook-DOESN''T HAVE A CD DRIVE!!!!!!!!! ARGH! I actually wanted to go and make some prints tonight to surprise DH with

I''m really happy to be back home but I threw my back out in the process of cleaning out my classroom. I ended up at Urgent Care on moving day which wasn''t ideal, but the doc gave me some pain meds to help. After 3 days of sitting in the car, my back is still killing me and the pain meds make me sooooo sleepy. I just want some relief without feeling so groggy all the time. Any tips?

Embarrassing secret of the day: I love to drink Manischewitz Elderberry wine while I''m baking and cooking. And I prefer it chilled! (The shame! The horror!)

I blame sleepover camp. It''s what they gave us on Shabbat all those years, and they chilled it. Mmmmm.

When people come over and see it in my fridge I used to lie and say that I used it for cooking. Now I just say "I love it. Got a problem with that?"

I love my job, but it sucks to leave a table full of friends at an exciting draft pick for our summer Ultimate league and come back to a mostly empty office and know I''m here for 2.5 more hours. When the sun sets it''s in my peripheral vision one one side and I probably have a minor case of OCD because I need (not want, not like - need) things to be even, so when I''m by myself at sunset I''m constantly turning to make sure it hits both eyes or slouched down in my seat.


On the plus side, I had black beans and rice for dinner tonight which was super yummy.
