They managed to dumb down PE!
"A" just started her new semester and has PE now. They got rid of sit-ups as part of the daily warm up because "They are bad for your back".... but they still do them as part of the fitness test.
So if they are safe to do as part of the fitness test, why not during class? If they aren't safe to do then why are they still having them as part of the fitness test? Don't you risk worse injury if you push your body too hard (like on a test) on an exercise it isn't accustomed to?

I just sat through the "welcome to high school" presentation for parents so may just be fed up with the local curriculum in general.
