My doggie King turned 6y. and 3 m. today. I photographed his beautiful face and sometimes entire body on EVERY 16th day of EVERY month since we got him on Aug. 28th, 2014, at the age of 6 weeks. His second BD is 10/10/2020 when he had a life saving surgery. So today I requested champagne. All of his pictures I am posting here were taken on Oct. 16. Living one day at a time right now.

I am so worried one of the cats or dogs will slip out as the house is prepped for sale or during the settling into a new house. We are being super careful to keep them safe, but I know so many go missing during or after moves. Just ordered a Whistle Go Explore for each of the animals. They will be here Monday. Hopefully we don't get a chance to see them in action, but I would rather have and not need than need and wish we had spent the $$ on something that could have helped get them home safely.

@TooPatient I hope it all goes smoothly. Your fears reminded me what happened the day we moved into this house. A heavily pregnant cat ran in the door and upstairs! We had 2 dogs at the time.

I went outside and asked a neighbour what to do and whose cat was it. She said, "Oh don't worry, that's Satsuma. He's harmless." He used to sit on our front porch chair all the time after that, until the neighbour moved.

Immersion with a tutor from Berlitz was how I started with German years ago and this seems to be similar but I like that I can go at my own pace. Sláinte!

I used it years ago for Hebrew. Pronunciation and vocabulary were fine, but they assumed I new the alphabet already. Oops!

I found this too that it thinks I know some of the pronunciation of several letter combinations that I didn't. I have signed up for Duolingo free version and doing both at the same time. This is helpful. Duolingo is pretty cool but not interactive. I tested myself in Spanish and German yesterday to see what I could skip and was pleased to find I could read and understand quite a bit moving up in the lessons. Conversation is a whole other thing though and I need practice. I do like that RS has the ability to join groups where you can converse with each other. I think Duolingo does as well but that might be only for the paid version.
