I picked up another ring today. I haven''t had one for a few weeks since the one and only ring I brought to China was apparently stolen. It''s a silver mobius style band - not at all fancy. The front half is matte and if I turn it around I have a shiny flat band (there''s no taper so it works). All for the whopping price of 123 RMB which is less than $20. I figure why get gold or platinum (available at cost of metal so good price) if I don''t LOVE the ring and I just want something on my finger because it feels naked. Plus I always wanted one of these mobius type rings, I just never wanted it bad enough to spend hundreds on it.

I still want some diamonds though.

I hate not being able to decide on what to keep and what to get rid of. It''s not personal stuff though, it''s professional. I have so many teacher books, games, etc., and I''m tired of carting boxes around and storing them. I was weeding through everything but I got so sick of saying, "I MIGHT need that someday. I MIGHT teach that grade someday," and I finally had to shut the garage door and walk away. I''m a tad grumpy.

I am still buzzing from the debate going on, on rocky talk re "leakage." This place is amazing. I actually feel, even although I am only a lurker at best, I am viewing diamond history in the making. A privilege indeed.

Anyway, I just wanted to say Maisie, I haven''t seen you posting recently. As one of the first people to answer a query for me I look for you daily, as I really enjoy your posts!

Now I''m settling in to do some work on the computer and watch daytime TV. It''s my last day of vacation, and that makes me sad. I love being on vacation!

Sounds like you had quite a productive day! Vacation is great, but sadly it comes to an end oh so quickly!

We haven''t had a vacation since last June, when we were at my brother in laws wedding, in Morocco. It was fabulous.

In this current economy it could be a while till we get another. However, I still love stay at home ones doing stuff like you have just described. It''s all about the company and it sounds like you got that one sorted!

Susi -- I''m a teacher, so we actually get quite a bit of time off. This is spring break. Wow, Morrocco?! That must have been a very exciting trip! I love learning about different cultures.

My husband is Moroccan so it is a bit like going to Glasgow for 2 weeks for me now!! I have been so many times in the last 17 years. Our favourite bar/barman doesn''t even take our order anymore. The drinks just get brought to our table with a green and white straw in mine to represent my fav sports team . LOL

The wedding was a high point though, because I got to see my family(the one I married into) and how they deal with outsiders(other than the crazy Scots they have adopted so readily!!).
That in itself was priceless and I realized that they are as under my skin as I am in theirs, because I gossiped and did family stuff like I was a blood relative. They also were also very proud when both myself and our daughter wore tradition clothing. So it was a very different vacation to normal, but fabulous.

Maybe next year!!

Yayy!! I love babies! I''ve seen so many adorable ones the last couple days and while DH and I aren''t *quite* ready for one of our own, every single time I see a baby it makes my heart twinge. I wish so much that I had a niece, nephew, or a baby of a friend to play with!

Maybe. I crave them every now and then. I bought a medium bag last week of them and now they''re gone. So, I guess next time I will just buy those 50 cent sized ones...

sounds like our basement purging project (we don''t have a garage or we''d have a garage cleaning project too) - this is year # 3 of the contentious project - my husband is too attached to stuff!

My kids haven''t had any fast food in over a month. Today they''re having Burger King. Hope it doesn''t make them sick.

For a month, they also hadn''t had chocolate and on Easter, they had about 1/3 the amount they normally do and both got sick after not being use to all that sugar.
