...but it's gone for a good reason. It's in New York at Leon Mege's shop waiting for it's new home! Off and on for the last year I have been lusting over the beautiful round brilliant with pear shaped sidestones rings on this site (Kaleigh's, KristyDarling's, and Ries's to name a few). After a few false starts and a lot of searching I FINALLY found two pear shaped stones that were a perfect match and within my budget.
Sorry...no pictures right now. Here are the measurements that I have for the pears. They total 0.91 pts which is larger than what I originally wanted, but it was hard finding GIA certified stones less than 40 points. I think they'll look great though. They are slightly on the fat side, but I had been debating between rounds and pears for sidstones so they satisfy my desires with a little of both looks.
One pear shaped diamond, .46 ct.
6.01 x 4.48 x 2.92 mm.
Modern cut, medium to thick faceted girdle, closed culet.
65.2% depth, 60% table.
GIA color: G, with negligible fluorescence to UV lighting.
GIA clarity: VS2.
One pear shaped diamond, .45 ct.
6.02 x 4.52 x 2.92 mm.
Modern cut, medium faceted girdle, small culet.
64.6% depth, 60% table.
GIA color: F, with negligible fluorescence to UV lighting.
GIA clarity: VS2.
These two will flank my 2.33 carat H/SI 1 round brilliant. I first sent the three stones off to Chris at Dave Atlas's shop for review. Chris has been extremely helpful and I highly recommend Gem Appraisers.
Again...sorry for the lack of photos, but I just wanted to share my news. Chris did take some IS photos of my center stone for me, so I'll post those once I get them.
