If my last stunt was a reverse Wintotty, I don't know what to call this. To catch everyone up, last week, I purchased a 3.25 ct. eternity band without discussing it with my husband. I received the band and while it was pretty, the setting was a bit "rougher" than I wanted, so I returned it (although I did tell hubby and showed him the ring). Lucky for me, he's a pretty easy going guy, so he was more amused than annoyed, though I'm not sure what his reaction would have been if I'd wanted to keep the ring.
Fast forward a couple of days and I'm browsing in a jewelry store in town and see a setting that I'd seen months ago, when my "journey" to replace my lost/stolen ering began. Without going through the whole saga again, here's a link to part of the story....

Anyhoo, I go into this local store and they have the same setting I saw several months ago. It's similar to Bebe's ring, which is one of my all time favorites (so maybe I should thank you!). So, I get into a discussion of the setting (and my saga) with the owner. He's willing to take my setting with the bullet cut side stones, my diamond studs (which I rarely wear) and a gold/gemstone necklace that I have in trade for the ering setting and a bead set diamond band. I called hubby to make sure that he was ok with it, which he was...."as long as it doesn't cost me another penny"....
So, I have my dream setting...he set the keystone in the setting while I waited and sized the ring accordingly. Here are a couple of photos. I'm truly in love and what I love almost as much is that when I look at this ring, I don't think about the awful experience I had...I think about how stunning my ring is. I am thrilled! Now that I have a ring I adore, the itch to keep shopping for more jewelry has abated (temporarily, I'm sure! )...
