Your stone was made for that setting. The proportions are perfect and it flows so much better than your old setting. The central diamond looks bigger as well. Many congratulations.
 
So what does hubby think of this set now? Does he just love it too?
 
Yenny, you are so so lucky to get your dream look without having to get a customized piece, and it looks like a beautiful fit! How in the world did your centerstone just happen to fit into that setting? It was truly meant to be. Congratulations, it is gorgeous, and fit to be the forever ring.
 
Hubby loves this set as much as I do. For him to comment on how much better the new setting is compared to the old one is very telling, since he rarely notices jewelry. I do not know how I got so lucky that the proportions were so perfect and my stone just slid right in. I do think it was somewhat fated.

Yenny, the new setting is gorgeous!!! It compliments your stone so much better than the old one, and the most important thing is that you can now completely enjoy looking at your ring and not have any negative thoughts or bad memories! Yay!
 
The profile is really gorgeous on that ring. Be carefule of wearing the bands together, the diamonds on the insides can rub and damage each other though! Gosh I would hate to see that happen!!

The profile shot is really interesting because it really shows how deep cushions are! Great picture for beauty and education ;))
 
Your diamond looks so much better in the new setting and your band goes great with it too. So glad you have your dream ring after all and you can put all the stressful stuff you went through behind you. It must be fate that you ended up with this setting.

OCMom3xboys, I am not the least bit sorry about the eternity band. Had it been perfect, I probably would not have been looking at settings and I might have missed this opportunity! ;)) I think that the reason I kept looking was because I just wasn't happy with what I had.

Aeolianarpa, you are 1000% right...no more changes are in my future and I won't be looking at rings until it's time to help my 5 year old son shop for an engagemnet ring, lol!

I'll try to take some more photos of the band when the sun comes out. I'm no good at indoor photography....

What an incredible setting, yenny! What a difference! It looks wonderful on your hand. I agree 100% with the sentence in your last post (underlined). Finding the "right" stone and setting really stops DSS in its tracks!
