I''m still trying to convince SO to rescue a kitty. He loves cats but doesn''t want one for a pet...

Ckrickett - I agree with BEG - just bring one home and he''ll love it! My husband surprised me with our last kitty and while I wasn''t initially thrilled (bad experience with a previous cat) it was only a couple of hours before I was smitten!!!

Ok just talked to the breeder. She has four boys - she''s going to pick two for me. I asked for one with donut rosettes and one with longer funkier rosettes - so I can tell them apart!

More pics - I don''t know which one is what though, lol. And I also asked her to send me pictures of the first litter from the same two cats so I can see what they''ll look like as they grow up.

Portia - wow Haley really is small! Has Zoe reached her full size yet? I have never seen a Savannah in person before, but would love to see one in action!


Here''s a picture of the boys relaxing - can you see how one has his paw around his brother''s shoulder? They are so cute together!

Yes, Haley is tiny and you wouldn''t believe how much she eats. She''ll eat her bowl of wet food and then finish what''s left in the other cats bowls. I wish I had a metabolism like hers! LOL We actually have to feed her in a separate room because she''ll scarf down her food and they go bump Ghengis out of the way and eat his before he''s finished.


I believe Zoe has reached full size. She hasn''t changed much in the last 6 mos. and she''ll be 3 yrs old in Sept.

Portia (and LV too) what do you feed your kitties? I was taking a look through some of the past cat food threads here, and I was thinking of transitioning the kittens (not sure what they eat now) to Avoderm wet and dry food....maybe half and half.

Our kittens were fed raw meat while still living with the breeder. She sent us home with some while we transitioned to dry food and wet food. She actually suggested feeding them Iams and Purina One for dry so that''s what we''ve been doing. Although I wonder if there is something better that we should be feeding them. Our last kitty was on special food since he was diabetic so I''m used to having to go to a specialty store to get food. Hopefully Portia will let us know what she''s feeding her kitties.

That''s good news about the new litter! When will they be ready to come home? Would love to see pics if you have any!

Our cats were also on a raw meat diet when we first got them. We slowly switched over to wet and dry food. We switched brands in the last few years (used to feed them Nutro). We have been feeding them Purina Pro Plan dry and wet food. They get all the dry food they want and 1 can each of the wet food at night.

I''ve shied away from this thread for fear of losing my heart. Today it''s pouring with rain and I have some time on my hands, so I dipped my toe in the water - bad mistake because now I''m done for.

All of these Bengals are adorable. I had never seen one before. Tell-a-lie, now I realise that the cat in one of the commercials must be a Bengal because of the markings.

BEG, I hope you get your new kitties, they look adorable.

I hope my kittens look like them! The markings are spectacular on those kittens.

They''re only four days old now, so it''ll probably be mid-October before I can have them? Which works out, since I won''t be home from traveling until the end of September. I''m going to prob going crazy buying them toys and cat trees and stuff in the two weeks between getting back home and getting the kittens!

They are absolutely gorgeous! I bet you can''t wait to have them! My husband and I also went crazy buying stuff for ours before they came home. They have way more beds than any kitties would ever need. They really love furry mice too!
