ok i''m not normally this braggy, it has just been a really good week. i am so relieved.
There''s a clear difference between bragging and sharing a wonderful achievement. I know someone who has tried and failed the bar several times (she''s super smart so I know it must be really tough) so brag all you want

thank you again everyone!!!!!!!

now i just have to finish my bar application, which demands references from every place of employment for the last 10 years or something. i have had all of these 2 month restaurant jobs during summers-tracking down these people and asking "hi, do you remember me? it''s coco! i worked for you for a month and a half 7 years ago. would you please write a page long recommendation on me? oh the bar? let me explain what that is."

it''s going to be a total pain in the rear, especially since my new job is not even a law job!! oh well! i''ll get it done eventually.

thanks again for all of the nice comments!!!

You get to do the app. after the exam? Lucky! I was scrambling to get mine finished when I was taking my last 3L exams--they had to have it two months before the exam. When do you get sworn in? Are you planning to remain an active member of the bar with your new non-law job?

no we are supposed to do it before, but i knew that i would not be looking for an attorney job and we have a year to complete the application before it is considered withdrawn. i will be sworn in with a later crop of applicants! i did not want people to write my references if i failed the bar, so i waited until i passed to complete that portion!

Congrats on passing the bar!
