What do you ladies think of these?

Am interested in the bottom pair which is 8.7mm x 7.7mm and 8.7mm x 7.6mm but the price is kinda steep...

Paging @Burmesedaze @YC @mellowyellowgirl

These are gorgeous! I've been after icy jade for awhile but no luck. Did you end up getting the bottom pair?

Not yet as I haven’t had time to go down and see... hope to pop by next week.

Mum says unless you've learnt crystal healing, otherwise put your item to clean under running water. Then use an incense and go round the jewellery. If you believe in any religion you can chant as you do that.

Ok I went to a store that sells crystal and asked about cleansing and finally got something. I asked for white sage actually but the lady said white sage can be dangerous and attract even more powerful bad juju so she recommended palo santo wood. And I got in essential oil form so just drop a few drops of the essential oil in spray bottle filled with water and then spray away and done.

So palo santo comes in wooden sticks and incense form as well but thought fire/smoke is not a great idea around young kids so I went with essential oil instead.

Tell me about the unset blue stone @icy_jade

I haven't seen it before!

The aqua in the pic above is the perfect size for you babe!

I also think if you've got a bold personality and love big rings just go for it. Big is fun!

Wow can you share more pictures of the pearls? They look really pretty.

I like the pink ring best. I think the slightly more delicate feel appeals to me.

:love::love: at the Aqua and round Amethyst especially!
I love and can wear big rings due to having fat chubby fingers.
However I tend to save my big guns for special occasions when my nails are dressed.
I have a selection of smaller CS rings for work and casual outings.

DK :))

Yeah testing waters with a big topaz first. I think I should get some enjoyment out of my man hands at least haha.

Hmm... I don’t go anywhere fancy so I think I’ll wear my ring to work whenever I feel like I need a perk me up. Weekends are no go since I’m busy running after my kids, changing diapers etc.

The pink was on my smallest finger! So maybe my new topaz will look delicate on my 2nd finger? Never thought of it that way haha...

Here u go!

Irl it looks bluish purple. I look horrid in the usual pastel shades so when I saw this rope I had to get it even though I have so many pearls...

They look spectacular, I love the many different colours in the sheen (lol my limited pearl vocabulary is going to fail me, but they look like they have a blue sheen which is very attractive). I can't do pastels either, or light yellows and oranges, they make me look really sickly.

Mmm I think I may be drawn to the understated halo, and the contrast between halo and stone. I feel like the setting enhances the stone, rather than dominates it (which actually I think is why I actually have a less positive reaction towards the cab.) Also the centre stone is impressive enough to carry it off -- it kind of catches my eye, before I become aware of the other rings.

Ok actually I went to set my two loose stones (the synthetic sapphire and John Dyer topaz) but since I was already there...

Ended up with these...

Oh I forgot to take his window display with lots pink/ red stones. Since I don’t wear pink, I was like... why so many!!! Apparently those colours are more popular so I’m the outlier I guess. You would have loved it.

The tsav was fab but it wasn’t like I felt compelled to buy. The earrings were a quick and easy buy heh.

Icy, outside of Asiatique, what are your impressions of the other shops in Lucky Plaza? I read somewhere that Huen’s Diamonds has stock settings. Wonder which shops to visit if I do have the time to go over there.

Love your new John Dyer topaz. :kiss2: Owning one of his gems is on my bucket list. :D
Can’t wait to see your pics once it gets set.

Wow this all is in Singapore?!!

That’s a fantastic line up. Great choice on the earrings btw! Very pretty and feminine

I haven’t seriously explored any to be honest. I hate the whole tourist rip off feeling (like my encounter in that that shop outside tangs) so I am wary to explore.

Thank you! It will be a convertible ring/pendant. Already sent it in but will prob take a few weeks.

Thanks! I don’t have a floral pair so this is great for my collection.

Yes I did. Getting it certified and then custom set. It’s a bit smaller than I like but I’m excited about the setting so let’s see.

Stunning HUGE bluish lavender cabs for earrings. Love the color. Lighter and more purple irl.

I might pop by Asiatique this weekend.

Oh I happened to be at Jurong Point for an impromptu work lunch when back a few weeks ago and stumbled into Lejade. Not sure if it's a new SA (she said she was) but the jade knowledge was lacking. Nothing really stunning on display, no glassy and no imperial greens. The contact I was with knows his gems and jade lol and was on the lookout for something for his beloved granddaughter.

She kept pointing us towards the icy section saying they are already very expensive.

Allabtjade has better pieces for sure.

Yeah really excited about that. I think I will get more wear if it’s a pendant but it will be nice to see it on the finger too.

The synthetic sapphire will be a pendant btw. I waffled on a ring or pendant but in the end I think a pendant will get more wear even if I love the idea of seeing it on my finger.

Ok I usu deal with a fairly experienced SA or the boss. I agree that Lejade doesn’t have the high end stuff but it’s good for beginner pieces I think.

Let me know what u think about Asiatique?

Is there anywhere else in SG that you go for your Cs? Want to go and see stuff irl but don’t know where to go heh.

Just checked their opening hours. Not open on Sunday and I couldn't make it yesterday :P

Nah I don't buy CS here. The SAs know less than any PSer. I think there are some by appointment only that sell CS through house calls. Colleague's mum gets her rubies that way.

Heritage Gems from my visit to their booth at the fair last year has a pretty good collection of CS.

They are also knowledgeable to chat with.
