Beautiful tings!!! I especially love the snowflake setting for that lovely sapphire!

I love the snowflake setting and ring as well. The color and saturation level of the sapphire is perfect with the cool white metal.

I adore your princess frozen ring!!!:kiss2: can you tell us more details about how you got it set? Soo pretty on your finger!

I always thought I love cornflower blue. Until I saw this amazing GRS grade vivid/royal blue. 6 ct unheated oval from Sri Lanka.

Amazing color...

:kiss2:...did you get to look at that oval outside of the shop lights?

Thank you @T L @minousbijoux @bling_dream19

There actually isn’t much to tell... bought the readymade setting via my jeweller from a Hong Kong supplier. Loved the setting immediately when I saw it and pounced on it. It’s so pretty isn’t it? Gonna get a lot of wear this festive season for sure.

I think my jeweller is gonna try to get earrings in this design as well

No... given the price and since I knew I won’t be getting it, didn’t want to take the risk. My jeweller has bad orange lighting in his store. So basically if a blue looks good in his store, it should look amazing outside...

I don’t see window but does it have a deepish cut? It doesn’t look much bigger than your cushion...? I am not sure if that is your cushion.

It’s just amazing!

My cushion is 5 ct and the oval is 6 ct. cutting is great. No window and doesn’t look deep.

@qubitasaurus saw it too and can vouch for the amazing ness of this stone. I think it’s the prettiest one I’ve seen so far, including all the other expensive GRS certed stones I’ve not posted/mentioned before.

My cushion is on the right side in this pic. Above is another much cheaper cornflower

Btw it’s approx USD19k. If anyone has spare cash pls buy it. I don’t think you will regret. Unheated GRS certed vivid blue/royal blue 6 ct from Sri Lanka.

It’s really sooooooo gorgeous. No elaborate settings needed

Omg....that saturation and tone! What a stunner! Tbh I think purity of color (no greys, brown, etc), glow, and saturation matter more than trade names. There's also a loooot of underwhelming cornflower blues out there, and everyone's perception is different. I think mine ocassionally deepens to nearly a royal blue in dim lights actually.

Did you see this at Wriston's? Smouldering seductive red.

13.45 carats at 400 sgd (not usd) per carat. Lovely piece.

I have giant mandarin garnet too.

Nothing is too big for me in the gems department:lol:.

Now I go and disturb him for the mandarin garnet.

They were actually all really nice stones. Somehow the hallo warps the perspective but in real life all 3 were huge and all three were a very pretty shade of blue. The oval did basically glow though -- it was a really deep rich shade of blue with an electric kind of glow (if that is your idea of ideal then it did indeed have it all).

Mmm it’s that beautiful glow that I can’t forget. So beautiful....

Except the price! Lol. I would buy in an instant if I strike the lottery lol.

Felt a bit sad about the 6 ct glowy sapphire (first world ‘problem’ I know) so took out my other sapphire to play for a while...

Ok really cannot compare to the 6 ct but it’s bright and sparkly...

And wearing my Frozen ring again! Really love the halo. Hope I can find a setting just as nice for my other blue sapphire. :)

So totally in Christmas mood

If you love it can't you get it Icy? You've been wanting one for a while.

Is the cost atrocious?

Or a simple classic halo in vintage style to protect the stone... with milgrain etc... mmm

No need to spend $ on small diamonds! Plain band only...

Really wish that you would “take” it home to share with us...

19k

Is that atrocious?

Tbh for the size, not really. As reference, mine was/is USD5700 for 2ct, so the per carat cost is USD2850 compared to the 19k's USD3166. Considering how much larger the 19k one is, I don't think that's a bad price at all, especially if you love it.

Just my 2 cents!

(FYI I'm currently looking at a potential pad contender and would love to hear your thoughts; 2.05ct, Mada, color looks promising, comes w/GRS cert)

It’s the overall quantum that bothers me... (I’ve been spending so much!! Lowers head and moans...)

I’ll hop over to your thread later

Could you maybe get a Christmas discount lol? It is the holiday season.

Just take it outside to see @icy_jade!

Is it a Wriston stone?

You seem to really like blue and have been pursuing a dream blue for a while. If within means there's no harm in splurging on something you've long desired (as long as you're not being ripped off).

I did it with my yellow and have zero regrets.

Speaking of yellows what did you do with yours???
