I agree with a lot of the things said on here! When I say upgrade I mean eithier upgrading your center stone and keeping the setting or the whole thing! I also think a lot of people do feel as if they would never change a thing about thier ring when they are newly engaged. I am 5''6 and have about a size 7 finger. I have a .83ct right now and it looks just fine but I don''t think a larger size diamond would look bad at all on me. Currently the diamond in my original ering setting is an upgrade then I moved my original ering diamond into another setting for a RHR. I also have to say a lot of people are super attached to thier original diamond as well, and I can understand why. Even if it''s small but quality I can see really putting a lot into it. My original diamond was reall really bad. Not only was it small but it''s low in color and clarity and has inclusions all over the place. It''s worth probably $100. But I am sentimental and thats why I put it into the RHR.
All this being said......I would get a 3ct Ideal Cut H&A G to H VS1 to SI1 round brilliant to put in my original ering setting. I''d move the diamond I have right now into my RHR setting and I''d find something to do with my original diamond.
In terms of other jewelry i''d also probably get a 2 - 3ct halo setting asscher RHR and diamond stud earrings, like 2ct''s each.
Well you would have had a few years working up the strength of your left hand so you could easily sport biggerDate: 1/13/2006 4:39:05 AM

I would never upgrade because my left finger is heavy enough as it is!
That being said, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a 5ct emerald cut pink diamond RHR. Well, it might have to be a pendant. Until then (like I''ll ever have that kind of money) I''m looking at emerald cut and cushion cut pink spinels
