Dixie~ Just read in some more detail the rest of the posts.........you''re colors are purple and green like mine yay!!! Well, to be specific they are victorian lilac and sage. My wedding is Aug 26th and I do not give one rat''s butt if sage is more of a spring color or not.........just look at these CAKE pics if you have any doubt at how fantastic the colors look together.......

Green cakes (thank you, ebree!)

Hi Dixie,

I don''t think that I would go with the idea of floating candles in the actual vase with the flowers. It could be a bit of a fire hazard. I think that maybe you could do some votive holders around the table instead and i think it would look great. I think to put two roses in you don''t really want that big of a container as the roses will just rest on top of the rocks with just enough water to keep the stems wet. You want the look to be fairly tight I vote that you buy a couple of roses and try them out with some containers that you maybe already have to see how they fill the space just make sure that they have blown open. I would say if you omit the candles 6 inch would be more than plenty.

The bear grass should be very easy to find. You can even order a bunch of it through a florist for not too expensive if you can''t find it online. I seriously doubt that you would need more than a bunch if you are just doing your table pieces with it. If you wanted to you could tie it into your bouquets by putting beargrass loupes around the edges as some greenery like i showed with the other leaves. It would look looser.

The blue curiosa roses are in fact a light putple colour i don''t know why they call them blue. They are the only light purple that i have any real experience with.

Another idea for some additional greenery would be to use some seeded eucalyptus in the bouquets this could be quite an elegant look. pic attached. A few little pieces draping around the edges would look really nice. The key is to keep the look fairly tight though.

I FOUND IT!!!! Ok I found almost exactly the pic I was looking for. You could do this type of vase tight with the flowers and some matching votive holders (with lavender or greeny colour candles). You could also tie a narrow ribbon around the container near the bottom in the ivory colour you were discussing but maybe shear? This would also look better with black river stones that are larger and you only need maybe 5-6 stones MAX. You want the flowers as the focus

Thanks for the pics Sparkel! I like the one w/the flowers in the square vase. I do like Eucalyptus but am pretty sure I want the bouquets only one type of flower w/no greenery. I just like the look of that. Maybe I''ll do a green ribbon though to tie around the bouquets.
I''ll have to look into whether flowers and floating candles together are a fire hazard b/c I certainly don''t want to start a fire but just love the idea of that in the bowl together.
Still figuring it all out....

Thanks!
