What a crazy week it was making two weddings in two countries happen! Whew!!! I''m glad it''s over and I have such fond memories of both weddings, which were very different and special. I only have a few pictures here at work, so I can only post a couple but we have several CDs at home from friends'' cameras so tonight I''ll post more.

Here we are at the chapel before the ceremony. (I hope this doesn''t show up too tiny b/c my friend sent them as small files.)

Thanks guys!

Rebemdee--I was having the time of my life! I felt like I was glowing the whole time!

Flopkins--our photographer wanted a picture of us smelling the roses together. Either that or I was picking up flowers from my bouquet that kept falling out.

What a drama with the flowers! I wish I had not done them myself b/c the day before the wedding I was litally having a mild panic attack for several hours--one of my girlfriends totally kept me from jumping off a bridge. They didn''t flow the way my trial-runs did so at about 630pm on Friday my friend and I drove all over my zip code trying to find either more flowers to make all the bouquets, or a florist who would do BM bouquets by the next morning. However, I did really like how mine turned out, except for the occasional droppage of one stubborn rose, and the BMs turned out fine in the end (which my friend did for me) and the boutinieres turned out fine except that by the end of the ceremony they were wilting. The centerpieces looked really good so I''m hoping someone got good pics of them. Anyways, a lot of people tried to talk me out of doing my own flowers but in this case I was too stubborn to listen. Stupid!!!! Well, I did save my mother at least a thousand dollars, so at least I feel good about that and my husband (ah, my *husband*!!) was very impressed with my effort and my concern to stay on budget.

WOO HOO!

SL, you look radiant! And your DH is so dashing.

Glad to hear that everything worked out. Your flowers look lovely- no one would have ever guessed what you went thru the eve before.

Can''t wait to see more pics, and to hear about the reception at Bluewater, and the 2nd wedding. Any tidbits?

Thanks CG!

Well, we had gloomy weather after the ceremony but we took some fun photos on the cliffs of Palos Verdes, overlooking the ocean, and arrived to a perfectly decorated Avalon Room at BWGrill. The wedding coordinator really did a great job making such a romantic atmosphere for our arrival, with the whole room illuminated with candles and all the little lights in the harbor reflecting off the water (which for me was so special b/c that''s like "our" harbor, where we go sailing out of all the time). We got lots of compliments on our first dance to "At Last" by Etta James. Although the DJ played "I''m Too Sexy" as the entrance song for our wedding party, and then for the entrance of me and *my husband* he did play the Stevie Wonder version of "At Last" and transitioned it into the Etta James version when we got to the dance floor. The DJ did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor and everyone was dancing all night long, except for one song when *my husband* kind of took over the dancefloor with me his arms. I can''t even remember the song. (Maybe too much wine and not enough food in my system!!) But I loved how everything looked and it was a great party and everyone had fun (well, except one of my BMs who more or less broke up with her boyfriend there but she kept it away from me so I didn''t even know until she got to Slovenia what was actually going on).

I did keep stepping on the front of my dress when I danced with my husband and I spilled red wine down the front of it and there wasn''t a topper on the cake. But aside from that, it was a great day, a great party, a great ceremony. The ceremony was actually quite lively and the music was wonderful and we had a great soloist.

I didn''t cry while walking down the aisle, although I was totally emotional and just overwhelmed to have so many family and friends there. While walking down the aisle I just kept saying in my head "Don''t cry, no one wants to see the princess cry" and then I kind of cracked myself up thinking of myself as the princess so I kept that ridiculous thought in my head until I got up to the front and could breath. It helped to make eye contact with everyone as I walked, it gave me support. Our minister was really funny and so during the vows that helped me not to cry. Actually, I thought my face was going to crack from the huge smile I had all day! Oh, but I did cry in the car on Saturday morning on the way home from my friend''s house, just being really emotional about "my wedding day" and kind of taking the alone-time in the car to act like a bawling drama queen!

I have to save the Slovenian event for another sitting...it was a party that lasted until almost 6am and it was like no wedding I''ve ever attended!

You look gorgeous! Your husband is handsome. I can imagine that your kids are going to be beautiful when you have them.
