insurance for e-ring?

Hi everyone,

We live in Quebec and would like to get insurance for my engagement ring. It was not offered by the jeweler where we bought it from and she could not give more of an answer than "homeowners insurance." We rent and would just like to have insurance for the ring - nothing else.

Any ideas or suggestions? I looked on google but was quickly overwhelmed! thank you!

Jeweler's Mutual covers Canada now.

thank you for your reply! i will call them tomorrow. on their website it seems like they only offer it through jewelers though...

ETA well it wont do you any good if it isn't available where you are. Sorry.

Do you have renter's insurance? I know I could have gotten a rider on my renter's policy.

So a few places I have contacted do not cover Quebec (Jeweler's mutual was one of them). We do not have renter's insurance and are not interested in getting it. We just want it for the ring. Are there any Quebec residents or jewelers that have advice on this? Thank you!
