We might do that. The romantic in me wants the dreamy castle wedding, but the practical one just wants to get it over and done with without much fuss and then have a giant bbq.

Then there is your answer!!

To answer your earlier question, yes, in general I''m very happy with how both of our weddings turned out. In the US we had dinner in a wonderful bed and breakfast with cake and dancing outside outside under paper lanterns - all on a small budget, but more the typical wedding. The oddly traditional side of me wanted dancing and cakes - lots of cakes! In the UK we had a city hall wedding and took guests on a boat ride down the Thames before heading off to dinner at a local restaurant. The non-traditional side of me loves looking at wind swept boat photos of us in London knowing that none of my other friends will do that and how much everyone thought it was really unique (and inexpensive - I must add - since we had dinner at a restaurant rather than a big shindig).

I really got the best of both world - one more casual, one more typical. One bigger shindig complete with DJ and dancing and toasts and cake (I love cake)!! and the other incredibly unique for simply how different it was. While I complain about both of them sometimes - I would have loved a bigger budget for both - I''m amazed that we got two weddings and to fulfil both our more traditional and non-traditional sides.
