Thanks SDL - I actually noticed today that it was kicking off sparkles from all directions. I usually get reflected light off the top, but now it''s coming from all sides. It''s really fun, LOL.
I know, they''re mesmerizing aren''t they? We went to the theatre last night to see The Phantom.. the lights were brilliant, I couldn''t help but love my ring under the lights. lol
There really is something about theatre lighting that does good things for jewelry, LOL. And yay for the Phantom!

Katebar - Thanks!

The ring came out beautifully! I love the wonderful lines of it and that lovely D looks so happy in its new home!

Beautiful ring! I especially appreciate the picture of the ring with the Hadhafang -- the fluid and organic lines from the ring totally mesh with the natural elegance of the Elvish designs... Simply lovely!

It takes a... unique mind like mine to make a special connection from a diamond ring to Elvish weaponry

LMAO - Well, then we are both special.... LOL. I was going to put it on Gimli''s Axe, but there wasn''t a good place to hang it, LOL!!

LOL!! It would have been a little tougher trying to relate your ring to Dwarf styling -- if such thing exists...

, but I must say I'm impressed by your LOTR collectibles that you've mentioned so far! My "collection" consists of a couple of jewelry pieces: Galadriel's ring the Nenya, and a stylized version of Arwen's Evenstar necklace, both from Noble. I should keep them in boxes, but I can't resist wearing them, especially the Nenya -- which is one of my all-time favorite ring designs.

That stone is giving off some wonderful bling! A sleek setting only enhances a great diamond.

And, I''m really liking the more unique settings we''re seeing here lately.

joflier - Thank you!

Holly - I really wanted something more unique. There was nothing wrong with my traditional 6 prong, but I wanted something a little more me.

LOL - They are all my husband''s. I don''t have any of the jewelry (although I''d love some!). He has Hadhafang & Gimli''s Axe. Oh wait - I actually do have a Smaug pocket knife. It''s stylized to look like Smaug, with red gems for eyes, and the two blades are wings that fan out. I''ll try to find a picture, but it''s a few years old...

OMG, Dani, I could have sworn I posted in this thread already, but I suppose I haven''t. Oy, getting old isn''t fun!

Your ring is just gorgeous - love that organic setting and the profile is just To Die For!

Just had to peek in again to AGREE that is IS a sexy ring!!!!!!

None of my friends are jewelry people. Their loss!!! The husband loves it and thinks it''s awesome though!

Icekid - Thanks! I love the split shank & 2 band look. I like that the 2 bands are combined into one- kind of like marriage, LOL.
My friends are not jewelry people either and my BF thinks I am nuts for spending so much time on this forum! You are very fortunate to have a supportive hubby.
