I just got this stone in the mail today. What do you all think about it? It is a very well cut stone with lots of salmon, peachy flashes.

It sure is pretty.
what is it?

Thanks, innerkitten! It''s a yellow/pink bi-color tourmaline.

Very pretty! I think it''s a keeper

I think it looks very pretty, but the real is do you think it looks pretty. What plans do you have for it? Ring? Pendant? Something else?

Thanks portoar and kismet! hmm...I''m not sure about the color when I first got it. After carrying the stone with me for a day to view it under different light conditions, I started to like this interesting color mix. The pictures didn''t capture the lovely peachy pink but only show the coppery brown tone. The Barion cut gives it a lot of live and sparkle. I think I''ll keep this tourmaline.

I plan to put it in a ring. I''m still torn between a simple 4 prongs setting or this antique reproduction.

Well I love the setting in the photo but simple prongs can be lovely too.

Maybe you''re right. How about this one? Excuse my poor photo editing skill.

Thats also nice, I like the warm stone color with the cool metal. Where is the setting from?

I think the white gold setting is too stark with that color stone. I would go with either pink or yellow gold. The shape of the setting is pretty though.

fafa, i like this setting and made prongs rose gold and had bent them .

I love the contrast between the stone and the ring. This is a very affordable setting from an ebay seller LiebCor. Someone (I forgot who) on this forum had bought a lovely setting from them a while ago.

Well, I''m a white gold girl. I''m hesitate to get other color gold jewelery. My MIL gave me a lot of 24k yellow gold jeweleries. They collecting dust in drawer.

I can see why you like this color combination. Love your ring. It''s on my wish list. Someday I want to put a ruby or a spinel in a halo ring like yours.

I thought it might be from him, it looks like something he would cut. I bought a garnet from him and am very happy. I will definitely buy from him again too. He''s so friendly in his emails too!

kcoursolle, do you mind to share a few picture of your garnet? I''ve been eyeing on daniel''s garnets. I especially like the round one with ruby red color but it was sold.

Wow they look HUGE for the size you said! Beautiful!!!

That''s the advantage to have small hands

I love

tourmaline! My preferance for them tend to be the Praiba blues, and of course the pinks/purples.

I think your stone looks

pretty, and of course just love the WG setting and the Rose Gold prongs that Pricescope dreamed up! Just yummy!
