I wonder if anyone of the PS’ers who volunteered to help out with mod duties reached out with that offer?

I’m sure this all sounds easier than actually doing it.

I’d rather scroll and scroll and scroll thru LT spam than not have it available at all.

I've just about given up looking on LT due to this, pages and pages and pages of this nonsense. Can't look for "regular" listings.

Years ago when colored stone vendors were listing huge numbers of stones, I contacted the site owner because I found it very irritating. They honestly just don't care. They collect the $$$ from the advertisers, and I am sure they are quite happy not monitoring or limiting posts on the site. I almost never check LT anymore unless someone alerts me to something they think I might be interested in.

It's so unfair to the authentic people who list and buy preloved jewelry and gems. There seems little point in listing something preloved because it becomes buried in the spam. Such a shame.

+1. I saw that this morning and kinda laughed then was immediately annoyed. I WISH there was a way to block sellers on LT.

Or if not outright block, create a Trade category, require them to post to it, and create a filter system where we can filter out the Trade listings and can opt to see only private sellers. Then warn them once if they post in with private sellers and ban them if it happens again.

This is available on Craigslist in the real estate section. Great idea!

I was just thinking about this thread from a few years ago and this specific seller, too. I’m glad to see this, if only to feel like others commiserate with me. I like to browse LT for goodies, and have stopped specifically because of this poster. I don’t feel like sorting through pages of products to find the non-vendor listings from PS members.

There should be a block or at least a more meaningful sort option.

The only workaround is to sort by item. When I stop in there, less frequently now, I pull up the rings, then the bands etc.
