Hi everyone! I've been checking out the page and all of the topics for a few weeks now and would really appreciate some advice. My husband and I are upgrading my wedding rings. I have picked out a Tacori engagement and wedding ring (style 10018) and now need help with the diamond. The one I put a deposit on is a Hearts on Fire. I know I am probably paying more for the name but would really like to buy the diamond from the same jeweler as my setting. Here are the specs:

1.042 carat
I color
SI1 clarity

Here is the AGS report

I did not see anything when I was looking at the diamond in person but now I'm worried that since the only inclusion is a cloud this could be a bad thing? I LOVE the stone, I guess I need someone that knows more about diamonds to give me their opinion and either feed my worries or put them to rest lol.

Thank you!!!
Casey

Whiteflash carries Tacori and has superideal hearts and arrows diamonds that compete head to head with Hearts on Fire. And you'd save a ton of money.

Thank you Gypsy for your response. I considered whiteflash but really wanted to stay local with my setting/diamond in case I ever had a problem with either. For the convenience my husband and I are ok with spending a little more money. Do you have any opinions about how the cloud inclusion could possibly affect the diamond? I didn't see anything at the time but am now worried that if you can see it I will look at it every time I look at my ring. I wish I had a picture of the stone to post but as of right now I don't. Again, thank you for responding!

I can't tell you anything about the diamond from the certificate. BUT an grade setting cloud in an SI1 can affect brilliance. That doesn't mean that it will. :wavey: The person who has the stone would be the best person to advise you.

Thank you, I will for sure get with my jeweler and get his take on it. Is a cloud on the table in a si1 something you can normally see and pick out without the help of a loop? I'm sorry I'm very new to all of this and to be honest all of this worrying and second guessing I am doing on picking my diamond is taking all the fun out of getting new rings lol.

You probably won't see it at all, especially in a Hearts on Fire, usually their cutting will make sure to keep stones eyeclean, but it is worth asking. But you will want to ask if it is affecting brilliance for sure.

Awesome! Thank you so very much for taking the time to respond! This has me feeling a lot better about the diamond until I get a chance to talk to my jeweler in person. I guess seeing that red circle on the table of the diamond that was until then perfect in my mind had me a little scared! Asking about this will be on the top of my list when I go back in the store in a few day. Hopefully if all goes well I will be posting pictures very soon!
