I just got engaged and want to share this ring!

What do you think of the wide split shank?

looks good :}
need a couple numbers to say kicken or not.. table size and crown height,,,

love the looks of it and the setting rocks.

edit: crown height looks fine in the pictures.

Oh, I love it

. We need some finger shots to see how it looks on. I love the wide shanks. Its very different looking
(in a good way). Do you mind giving the stats on the diamond? It looks like quite a rock. Congratulations!

Congratulations on your engagement!!!

Your ring is definitely beautiful! I love Asshcers and the split shank is nice... but I can''t truly make the call without seeing it on your finger.

What are the specs on the solitaire?

My fiance is actually the one that did all of the research on the diamond....

Here are the specs:
1.58 ct, F color, SI1 (eye clean), VG, VG, 1.01 ratio.

Not a very good fingure shot but it will give you an idea.

Beautiful! I love the setting too!

Oh how I love that setting!!! Wow. I don''t know if I''ve ever seen a split shank that wide and it is fantastic!

Thank you everyone for your input! My fiance spent a lot of time on here and got alot of great ideas! So thank you to everyone that posts!

I love it!

really pretty! congrats!

The depth of the stone is 68.2, the pavillion is 63, and 1.01 ratio: 6.42 X 6.43

it''s very pretty.

I love the shot of your ring in that statue''s mouth!!

It is a beautiful ring!

Thanks everyone for your comments.

After wearing the ring for a couple of days I have found the diamond to be digging into my finger.

Any suggestions on how to raise the diamond off my finger?

After looking at your 3rd picture I can see what you mean. Well...you could go down in rock size
2.gif
. I know, totally out of the
question! I truly dont have any suggestions but I''d talk to your jeweler and see if they have any suggestions. I love the setting
so keep working at it till you get a fix. BTW, I noticed a wide split shank ring on one of the color forums with a wedding band
next to it. I''ll try to go dig it up for you just so you can have a look at a wedding band option.

Beautiful ring!

I too would hate to see that design changed, but if it becomes a big problem, you could ask the jeweler to add a 3rd shank right below the diamond, so the ring is a complete circle, but with the 2 split-shank parts sticking up to hold the diamond. It's really hard to describe. Am I making any sense? It would look something like this, but without the basket holding the stone, just a complete ring underneath the diamond and the 4 prongs extending into the split shank. Or something like this, but with a split shank instead of the halo. See the complete ring that I'm talking about?

I think the ring is awesome. Very unique!

Congrats on your engagement :)

Beautiful ring and this shot makes me laugh!

Thanks tyty333 for the wedding band ideas. I really like that one. We were just discussing what we were going to do for the bands.

We are going to talk to the Jeweler about maybe lifting the diamond up by having the prongs be at more of a 90 degree angle than 45 degrees. Does that make sense?

Our other thought was I think mentioned on here about just have another band go underneath the diamond.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed!

My fiance wants to me post more pics.....
