Looking for a second opinion or two, as a layperson stumbling down the rabbit hole. TIA!

Do you have any images?

It is nice but not what some would call “super ideal” because there is a lack of precision in the cut (see the dark areas between the arrows in the video and aset?). So it depends on your priorities. I think most people would not notice this slight lack of precision in real life and otherwise the proportions are very nice. I prefer a higher crown and fatter arrows but that’s a preference not a requirement.

Thanks, this is very helpful! Would the difference between this and a "super ideal", be the amount of sparkle (for most people)? How would you rate this out of 10 (with no 7s)?

you could do better...

example: this is a good deal on a higher crown % eye clean SI1 J from WF's expert selection..... i also like it has medium blue FL :)

Appreciate it @freddyboston. Noted on lower CA and increased value with fluro. I am aligned in maximizing value and optimizing for cut. To the missus, what would the tangible difference be, between the two? And would the inclusions in the SI1 come into play?

I also like Freddy’s options. I can’t rate your original on a 10 pt scale or comment on how it will compare to another better cut diamond. People vary in their perception and values! But I think I would likely notice the difference. Flatter crown and thinner arrows creates more splintery white light return relative to a higher crown and fatter arrows which creates relatively more fire and bolder contrast scintillation. These are things I like. Plus more precision cut means a more even pattern of light play. If your partner doesn’t know much about diamonds or have experience wearing them then she likely won’t notice.

How does this look in comparison? Screenshot 2024-12-16 at 9.31.59 PM.pngScreenshot 2024-12-16 at 9.35.05 PM.png

Do you have a 360 video of this one?
I have concerns about a dark center and paddling.

somethings off with the cut..and the repeating table crystal inclusion.... should almost be an Si1...

I would want some assurance that inclusions wasn’t visible. VS2 is often a safe clarity grade but when you have a single inclusion that’s the grade maker and it’s right in the middle like that? Makes me nervous.
