just an update, I emailed pictures and spoke to someone at Ritani about the basket. They said they would make a note of it.
I also requested that if possible, perhaps they could make claw prongs, instead of round ones.

The manager said he would see about it. He said that if the prongs are very small to begin with, then for safety issues, they might not be able to make claw prongs.

So, I guess I will wait and see...............

Kayla:

i just read the entire post. I am so sorry for you having so many troubles out of this. This should be a very happy time for you, getting such a beautiful setting and bands. I think Ritani will make it right, im glad you got to speak to them directly too. This whole thread has made me sad/mad for you! I hope your ring comes out perfectly this time and its all you hope for!

Best,

Lori/yellow

I''m amazed at your investigating skills (counting the diamonds on the basket & finding it smaller than someone else''s)! Good for you for getting to the bottom of this fiasco! Hopefully, this will end with you getting your perfect ring. And doesn''t it suck to know that the people you need to fix the problem don''t seem to care as much as you about the product? Boo on them and their "I''m with a client" comments.

Thanks Twinkletoes,
Actually, it would have never occurred to me until Headlight and Valeria pointed it out.
So, I have to really give them the credit!!
I am just hoping it all turns out well.

Kayla, I''m so glad Ritani is willing to work with you on this. Do you think you will get it back before christmas? Hang in there..btw, did you keep your fab earrings??

Glad to hear you are closer to a resolution on this. I am sure they will make it right. If it is the wrong basket, they shoudl probably replace your ring entirely rather than make something fit that can''t. I think before they send it back to you. Ask for pics so you can verify. You don''t want to go throught the hassle again.

The rings are back!!!! I just got a call today that they are here. I don''t have time to pick them up this week, so I will have to wait until Monday to get them.

They made the ring pretty fast don''t you thnk?

They did make them fast but you deserve that, after what you went through.

Can''t wait to see them next week. I think they''re going to be beautiful! Good luck!

I just saw this thread for the first time, dont know how I missed it. The rings are stunning (or they will be) and it was so funny looking at your slightly blurry 2 ring picture because I could have been staring at my own hand, except of course for your 2c monster stone.

All the gals with the single row pave and matching bands should post all their rings into one post...it would be funny to see how alike alot of them are I am sure! Esp when on a hand and a blurry sparkle that obscures some of the differentiating details. By the way I really like the head on that ring, it showcases the ring but isn't too high.

LOVE the 3 ring picture, I adore that set! Congrats...and it has given me of course the incentive to add a 3rd ring to my set at some point in the near future, after the 2c upgrade that *I* am seeking of course!!

Keep us posted!

Oh Kayla I hope everything works out for you.

Kayla--remember me?? You gave me such great advice when I was deciding whether or not to go for the same Ritani set. I have been somewhat MIA on PS as fnals week for grad school is coming up. But I just saw your thread (procrastinating from studying) and I am so sorry for what you went through! At first I was kind of worried, knowing that I will (hopefully) be getting the same set soon. But it seems like Ritani was very proactive in fixing the problem, so that put me at ease a bit.
Well, even with all the problems, the set looked absolutely gorgeous! It completely reinforced my decision! I absolutely can not wait to see the fixed ring. POST LOTS OF PICS and keep ''em coming!!!!!!!! Just when you think you''ve posted way to many, post more

Hi,
Of course I remember you!!!!
Now, I am regretting my own advice! LOL!

Actually, I am contemplating going to pick up the rings tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed that they did fix the problems with this ring!

I guess we will all have to wait and see!!!

I think its just rotten, with all you''ve had to go through. I''ve got my fingers crossed that things will turn out fine for you in the end, from the pictures I''ve seen so far, its a stunning ring.

Post more pics!!

I got the rings today!!!!

I am happy to say that the prongs came out pretty good, although they weren''t able to make them claw prongs, they are now even.

There are more diamonds on the shank of the band now, this time they put 23 on either side, and they are the same amount
36.gif
!!!!!
They also added an extra 3 or 4 diamonds to each wedding band as well, so now the sizing area is smaller, which is how I wanted it to begin with.

Now, the problem.

The basket is still the same! It still has the same amount of diamonds, a total of 14 around the basket. So, the profile of my ring looks as before and the diamond still sits in the basket a little high.

I did not make a big deal about this though, because I was never really concerned with it to begin with, until you guys pointed it out.

Although I hate to say that I have an awful feeling that rather than remaking me a new ring, Ritani just fixed up the one I sent them. That would be the only explanation why they still made a "new" ring with the same exact basket!!!

This was after I phoned them and pointed out that the basket was small, so either it''s the same ring, or they just happened to make the same smaller basket for my diamond, or it really is supposed to be this way!!!

Lastly, for those of you suffering from diamond shrinkage, I highly recommend not wearing your diamond for a few weeks. Believe me, once you get your diamond back, it looks huge!!!!!

Thanks for all the support!!!!

Kayla, I''m glad that they fixed it (almost) to your liking. Maybe after you wear it a bit, you will be happy with the size of the basket. Are you going to post pictures? And hooray on them adding more diamonds and making the sizing area smaller!
