I am so excited to see the ring! From the pics, it looks perfect to me! I'm going to have to wait another 1 1/2 weeks to see it because I'm out of town right now. Just my luck to get the"your ring is finished" email from David the night before I left. Oh well...it gives me something to look forward to when i get home.

I'm having it delivered to my office and have asked my good friend to take pictures of it when it gets there, that's how impatient I am!

Found some beach glass today that is just the right color for this thread

Neil Your pendant is beautiful. I didn't realize the stone was so large. I like your choice of yellow gold and I'm glad to know that DiamondZone can set nice bezels like that.

Thanks for all the nice comments everybody! I am loving my new ring! I finally had a chance to snap some quick photos of it (though I really should have put lotion on my hands first! ). I am very happy with the setting, David Klass always does a beautiful job and is so easy to work with. The topaz is unbelievably bright, it is so vibrant and just fun to wear. A big thank you to my friend niter for giving me the topaz (that she got from Jeff Davies) for my birthday!
It was a little tricky to get clear and crisp pictures of the topaz (I think because I have sunscreen residue on my cell phone's camera lens ) but here's a few that I thought were decent enough to share.

Bought a 14K CZ ring on DB to finally set the electric blue topaz that I purchased from Barry almost a year ago. The color is more intense IRL - very close to that of my blue zircon (which is why I hadn't gotten around to setting it earlier). Hopefully it's okay to post since the main stone is real.

Acinom, my local B&M jeweler did it for me based on the photos I showed him - I got JD to cut the stones for me but gosh, hexagons are expensive to set!

Hi Acinom,
I make for the trade, so I don't have any of these anymore.
I loved the natural because of the colour and look ( I am very fussy on cut )
I enjoyed making the pear shaped because of the articulation, it was hinged at the points and the chain passes under the top diamond.
As you're a fan of blue here is a pic of a 23 ct Sleeping Beauty Turquoise I did recently.
