I have a piece of rough that I purchased and am looking for someone to cut it, any suggestions and pictures of stones that you had cut would be great.

Re: Jackson Croosroads rough Amethyst

There aren’t many PS lapidaries who are willing to risk faceting a customer’s piece of rough. Jerry of Gemart Services seems to cut a mean stone and still accepts “outside” stones. If you do a PS search, you'll see his amazing work owned by a few PSers.

Thanks Chrono, I emailed him but please post any others as well.

I'd check George Ellis of Georgia. He has cut several provided JXR roughs for me. Does a great job as well. Check my post on the JXR ring that I posted a few days ago. He cut that one.

Hello,

New to the forum here.

I love these "Georgia grape jelly" gems...where are people getting their JXR rough? Straight from the mine?

Any good sources on rough or already faceted would be appreciated.

Thanks!

He did a fantastic job cutting an Afghan tourmaline rough I own. His work is superb, some of the best precision faceting I have ever seen.

Rodney at Dixie Euhedrals has a supply of it and his is from when he was running at prime (also digforcrystals). I know that Terry (current owner) sells it, but not where. Seriously Gemented on ebay sometimes has it.
